So we've got him saying shit like that and Shane J being celebrated on twitter for having done more for feminism than any other woman in the house.

Shane J - the one who explained to the lads that women might get offended by men opening the door for them because they feel it "emasculates" them.

I'm going against most on this thread, but I really like Shane J, I think he is intelligent and argues a good point, I also think he knows when to stop arguing and start listening. I've found him an interesting character and couldn't imagine this season without him.

I think Anne is playing the biggest game, in fact I believe she has been given instruction advising her that her role is the 'villain', strong opinions, outdated ideas, stick in the mud. She went in hard and appears to be 'softening' the public are lapping it up. I wouldn't be surprised if producers have advised her, so by the end it looks like the fellow housemates have broken through her tough exterior etc. and won her over. She's getting one of the highest fees this year, she knows why she's there.

I also think genuine / Ashley romance was scripted by BB producers, looked a little fake though.

Amanda was fab, her exit interview was crazy, almost as if she was high. I suppose that's what champagne and adrenaline does to the showbiz types. Her wife clearly adores her and has missed her.

I don't dislike Shane J his points and opinions are valid however he needs to accept everything is not a cause he can't speak for every person who happens to have a same sex partner /spouse.

If you are right Helen, then Shane J is not as intelligent as you think, because he is treating Ann like a villain when he does things like complain about her refusal to meditate but think it's absolutely fine for Shane L to steadfastly refuse too. So he has fallen into her devious trap.

Lucky for him most of the CBB voting public will think it's fine to complain about Ann not wanting to meditate while overlooking the fact that Shane L did not want to either.

Aussie Shane is going to win this, some people are voting more than 50 times each for him to win

Andrew wants him to win so that he can ride in shortney airstream of fame

So Aussie Shane wins just like Jim Davidson and Bear did - it just shows the type of people that vote for CBB

We PWB love the show but maybe not the ones that pay money to vote in the same way as the fans of Jim Davidson and Bear and now shortney do

Although, I think it is the PR teams and agents of these types of people are the ones who vote so that they themselves earn more money (via % of appearance fees etc)

So if you are an agent and earn 10% of appearance fees and your "star" comes from xxxxxxxx in uk to getting a TV show or personal appearances like shortney will if he wins then it makes sense to pay to make 100 phone calls to get them to win, doesn't it?

This is very true @MrsJayy an excellent example set by Amanda and Wayne, who are older and wiser. It must be hard to stop 'fighting your cause' when you have had to do so your entire life. I loved what Amanda said about not expecting the world to accept a group or community but rather accept a person as an individual. Admittedly, easy for her to say when Anne allowed her to swear and curse, but treats the rest of the house to constant eye rolls and telling off, definitely not trying to accept them at all.

I think BB set Anne & Amanda up to clash with each other, and there to be fireworks between the two matriarchs, but they ended up getting along really well, chatting and eating chocolate biscuits in the bedroom, not quite as entertaining as BB hoped perhaps.

I just think Wayne and Amanda are the type of people who won't let their sexuality define them whereas Shane J makes a living from being a Gay drag queen so his sexuality is who he is iyswim, it is maybe a generational thing with Amanda and Wayne you just get on with life and don't cause a fuss ?

It's a gossip telly thread not an impartial judgement thread!

In all reality if I had to spend a long time with someone it would probably be Shane rather than Ann as we are the same age and no doubt have much more in common but I dislike the way he is being portrayed as an angel just like others dislike the fact that Ann is being portrayed as a harmless granny.

I don't think Ann is a game player- I don't think she has a deceptive bone in her, to her own detriment.

I won't be thrilled if she wins, as she's not a reasonable role model for young women. I admire her in many ways, but wouldn't model myself on her.

I'm not adverse to a pantomime villain winning, Kim Woodburn was robbed when Colleen "nothing going on" Nolan won last year, however Bear and Jim D are arseholes and should not be put in the same camp as Shane J. He was, no so long ago very popular on this thread when he was viewed as an "anti India" option to get behind, not that he actually challenged India. He's just not lived up to people's high expectations. Meanwhile Ann seems pleasant enough inside the house, and in true Whiteadder style ended up with fake gold boobs on her head by getting into the hot tub, but the 20 previous years of her political and media presence precede her for me and she wouldn't get my vote if I voted

having looked at twitter, I think there are a lot of people who actually think that by voting for Shane they are actually campaigning for gay rights that people like Amanda and Wayne don't understand because of their "privilege". These are virtually direct quotes. Also saw one hilarious one saying that Andrew, Dapper and Jonny had done more for gay rights than anyone else in the house.
