Waiting out for the next series of Our Girl set in Nigeria. Some of us are still mourning the passing of Elvis Harte. All discussions on Captain James and his team welcome here (as well as other things from time to time).

Poor CJ thought he was about to lose another one. It would have been pretty dreadful at the start of a new tour.

CJ was preparing himself for another of his section being killed (as well as Smurf's brother).

Do we think she heard CJ's orders and ignored them or just didn't hear them at all?

If only it was Elvis about to drop down out of that helicopter.

I thought this was a great first episode.

I enjoyed that! It seems a while since we did a watchalong but in truth it's only a few weeks ago.

Thanks for that Rhu and Ilove. Could really picture it all and enjoyed your take on certain scenes with perhaps a slightly different nuance here and there. My wifi played up a bit so at times I couldn't get mumsnet properly but on the whole kept up quite well. Great.

Oh yes, CJ was lovely in those final scenes in the second episode!

I don't think we were quite as flippant tonight as we have been on some of the more recent episodes (thinking "The Boys Are Back In Town" and Rab washing in Elvis' mucky water).

Yes, that was more reflective today ilove. I haven't watched for ages but I still like it the best. This series always feels different to the others.
I just hope that when we discover more about CJ in the next two series, nothing will have happened to destroy the image of CJ and Molly together in wedded bliss. I don't need to necessarily see anything just 'know' it's alright.

Sorry I didn’t make it last night. We ended up with about 3 inches of snow and as we live on a sloping site with lots of bends to get to the main road, unless it is very important we don’t bother going out.
I read your brilliant comments and was amazed I could visualise all of the scenes, I wish my memory was as good for everything else!!!
Sounds very windy this morning but the snow has shrunk slightly so hopefully it will go quickly.
Hopefully will be able to join in next time. Keep warm and hopefully clear of all the flu bugs all of you.

Been absent for the weekend though had to change our plans thanks to heavy snow forecast for the Midlands which would have hit us as we were driving south so we cancelled the hotel and opted for something slightly closer to home.

We have had nearly seven inches of rain since Christmas. No water shortage for us this summer we hope!

Are we all on for our watchalong on Tuesday night? 9 pm? Just me and Rhu or is anyone else going to join us?

Hi I still have not got my DVD so won't be watching with you, but will be avidly following your comments as I love visualising and of course reading your take on the scenes, especially now with the longer gap since previous viewings.
