I'm sure 2 of those are achievable

Can't trans people find love then?

Alwaysinmyheart · 15/01/2018 10:32

She's saying she was marked out as the 'runt of the litter', so playing the victim again!

needtogiveitablow · 15/01/2018 10:33

I don’t particularly like Matthew Wright but he’s giving her a harder time than expected!

DeleteOrDecay · 15/01/2018 10:35

Surprise surprise!

Funny how it's ok for her to be 'phobic' of drag queens but she can't cope if anyone appears to be 'transphobic'.

Angryat Matthew Wright using the term 'natal women' rather than just women.

Alwaysinmyheart · 15/01/2018 10:37

At least he didn't say cis!

BeyondWW · 15/01/2018 10:38

Natal is preferable to cis in my opinion. It still has transwomen as a category of woman, which I don't like, but at least it doesn't claim that females agree with their "gender identity"

I had to put it on when I saw MW was being less than eggshellish

Alwaysinmyheart · 15/01/2018 10:39

Actually IW is making some good points!

BeyondWW · 15/01/2018 10:41

IW agrees with third spaces!! Shock
Do you saga? I'm sure you've probably answered that before but I can't remember

sagamartha · 15/01/2018 10:41

No exclusives then.....

DeleteOrDecay · 15/01/2018 10:43

I think she's been coached on what to say/how to come across. I don't believe she is being genuine. I can't take anyone who thinks they are 'the new suffragettes' seriously unfortunately.

Her true colours well and truly shone whilst she was in the house how ever!

needtogiveitablow · 15/01/2018 10:44

Not exactly worth the wait though 🙄

Alwaysinmyheart · 15/01/2018 10:48

Has anyone actually read the article Rachel has written whilst she's in the house?

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 15/01/2018 10:48

The master manipulator thing didn't really happen, did it?

Also the phobia is explained as (the more reasonable) discomfort with how people might confuse transwomen with men in drag. But that's not a phobia at all - it's a principled issue. It's justifying India's ludicrous behaviour post facto but we were told it was a fear, and it very clearly isn't.

IhaveChillyToes · 15/01/2018 10:49

It was interesting that the questions were written down on paper rather than on autoque so IW and rest of panel couldn't read them

Also, could be that the questions were changed at last minute

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 15/01/2018 10:52

Also it was good to see Stanley Johnson actually challenge India a bit.

DecoysBitch · 15/01/2018 10:53

I 'm thinking IW has those eye-bags through lack of sleep reading MN for two days.

NellyFrestelli · 15/01/2018 10:53

Ooh what did Stanley have to say?

sagamartha · 15/01/2018 10:53

Also the phobia is explained as (the more reasonable) discomfort with how people might confuse transwomen with men in drag

That would have made for an interesting discussion - I wonder if that discussion ever took place in the house?

India's reaction to the drag act was really awful. It would have been much better if she'd watched and maybe just tried to have that conversation. She certainly didn't help herself.

SlowlyShrinking · 15/01/2018 11:00

It’s women who should be complaining about drag. After all it’s US who’re being parodied. Tbh I don’t like drag particularly, but I avoid it 🤷‍♀️

I find men who genuinely believe they are women because they like stereotypically female things more offensive than drag queens.

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 15/01/2018 11:09

Stanley just said that Rachel had been decent to India. India started to crank up about misgendering in this famous article Rachel has written. And I think she slagged Rachel off at the start of her interview, but it wasn't exactly a grand unveiling of the secret power in the house.

LaconicIcon · 15/01/2018 11:21

Ah. Glad I didn't add to the viewing figures for nowt then.

Fabellini · 15/01/2018 11:37

Just watching it now on +1. I’m amazed that Big Brother main show neglected to show any of the dreadful manipulation that IW suffered at the hands of the other housemates. It’s almost like IW isnt being entirely honest.....

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 15/01/2018 11:38

Here's a thread on Digital Spy where someone's transcribed the first part of the piece
forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/2263995/india-on-mathew-wright-transcript#latest

I thought India came across better there than on CBB. She had some quite feminine hand gestures, which ironically put me in mind of Courtney Hmm but I agree, she seems to have been very heavily coached. I also feel that rather than misgendering, she has misremembering issues.

I've read RJ's piece too. Notihng new there apart from missing knickers from the tumble dryer, but I really don't see why she mentions the bra cup sizes of both Ashley and Jess and if she wanted to deflect attention away from her own body, why not take a one piece swimsuit in with her rather than a bikini?

On balance I don't believe India that she was pushed and pushed to talk about her transition and into taking off her bra and exhibiting herself. She's a strong enough character to Just Say No.
