What I found remarkable about the Besa storyline was her incredibly rapid improvement in English.

When Ruhma was visiting her at the house, she talked to her very s-l-o-w-l-y and used very simple language, and Besa only seemed to manage nods and small broken sentences in reply.

Fast forward to the immigration interview, and she’s suddenly understanding everything that’s being said to her, and managing to tell her story pretty fluently.

It must be the Letherbridge effect. Amazing.

Meetie you're right. She did improve very quickly.

That's the wonder of Letherbridge, language barriers no problem. Emergency home/church/workplace visits ,4 seasons in one day. You name it, Letherbridge has it.

I thought the shots of Besa waiting in the car with her baby were very moving.

Me too, cloudy very moving.

I was completely unmoved by the Besa storyline. Rhuma storylines are unbearable.
