With regards to Rylan, frustrating as it is that he's being so restrictive, won't he be on strict orders from C5 bosses and potentially have his job on the line if not seen to defend IW?

I've not seen tonight's episode yet but I would find it quite feasible that IW is not being as dramatic due to game playing. The more I see of IW, the more I think so much of it has been for dramatic effect / panto villain etc so has possibly been able to switch it off quite easily. A bit like the drag phobia! It seems to be since nominations that it's been toned down somewhat. I can't imagine BB asking to.

Boopsy - you are bang on. That's because black people are faced with structural inequality. As are women. The systems were all set up by white men. Whereas someone like IW, who benefited from that for 50 years, is still enjoying the privilege it allowed and so is able to behave however they like.

Just popping on before I catch up with the rest of the thread to say this thread has drawn me into CBB. I used to watch, I remember the Chantelle CBB and the Michael Barrymore one and watched BB religiously for a few years but stopped for ages. Like a lot of people on this thread I am enjoying it this year - the conversations are worth watching and I like the women - all of them. I don't like India, India cares about India and no one else. I have to go with the majority here and say I LOVE Shane/Courtney (and have been a drag race fan for a while).

Someone mentioned not being sure about drag a bit further back on these threads and I understand that. I think there are those drag queens who are derogatory about women and I am (of course) not on board with that and then those who are very professional and talented like Courtney Act and I just loved Bob the Drag Queen on Drag Race. It is a bit of a conundrum though - I like drag but not misogyny and when they meet I'm not a fan of the drag queen.

I'm in the middle of episode 11 - the conversation about Trump/Weinstein was interesting I found Shane very eloquent on the matter and was nodding along when he said you had to understand the power structure when it comes to later accusations not too keen on (was it Genuwine and even John???) the idea that poor men are getting their careers destroyed based on false accusations. Fuck them, that many accusations and something went on - give over with that nonsense.

I freakin' loved Amanda when she straight out said about India I'm not bothered now it's just a strategy being the victim to her face - you go girl that was stellar.

Anyway hello to all the contributors here - I've enjoyed reading this thread (even the bits where you are watching live and I'm not lol - makes it fun to work out which bits you were watching later). My favourites are all the women - I like them all although Anne does make me shout at the screen with some of her (awful) views, Wayne and Shane/Courtney and I really dislike that idiot Danny and the professionally offended India. Johnny is a useless muppet whose only persona is lad-foil to the offensive Dapper Laughs and I'm on the fence with Andrew I dislike the lad chat behind women's backs it puts me off him. I do like John and I'm not sure about Ginuwine to be honest, I'm really not liking the budding relationship with Ashley. I don't know, I just feel like any young attractive woman would have done.
