Will & Grace - AIBU to be so disappointed?

I absolutely loved W&G back in the day, and love watching reruns, so I was so excited for the new series tonight... but it was so cringeworthy!

I won't say too much so as not to spoil it, but i just found it so forced.

What did anyone else make of it?

I turned off after 10 mins.

It was just disappointing

No spoilers so I’ll just say I am hoping they’ve got all they wanted to say about that topic out of the way and from ep2 on we’ll be back to regular comedy

I enjoyed it. It was just Will and Grace....I loved that it revolved around Trump...it was unexpected. I don't remember the show as being topical in that way before. I'll watch next week too.

The rest of the series isn't that topical at all, it's like the old series'.

I did just catch a headline that says the reboot already has the go ahead for a second season, so they must have high hopes for it.

This! I refuse to do anything but love it. There was a lot of necessary scene-setting and the rest was daft W&G business as usual. But with a big bowl of sprouts.

I used to love this show. But for an 11 year gap it was very disappointing

Definitely sprouts! Even DP said "Are those sprouts?" before giving up and heading to bed

Disappointed that they gave up on the last storyline - kind of hoping that an episode or two in and they have a Dallas moment where it's all been a dream and the kids come back, with grandkids to boot!

Otherwise, I was crying with laughter!!

I'm up to episode 7 i think? The newest one anyway, it's fab. Stick with it!

I enjoyed it. I was also baffled by the bowl of sprouts and didn’t think any of them had aged at all! I think I would go off it if it continued being political so glad to hear it doesn’t carry on like that. The politics was good for one episode though.

I really enjoyed it, I liked the whole Trump thing. But I was surprised that they did it tbh. But are they serious about neither of them having had Kids!? Wasn’t that what the very last episode was about? And Grace was pregnant for the whole of the last series?? How can they just disregard that???

It was awful. Hopefully it will get better

The most recent episode was just like the old days, trust me. It gets better!

I will have to keep watching, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who was like: "what happened to Grace's baby?"
