The novella is taking shape beautifully. Great characters and a threat of violence towards Grocer Wallace in the opening paragraph thanks to the writing skills offuckery.

I would send fuckery a congratulatory bunch of nasturtiums, but they've all been eaten.

I think the novel is going to have a number of storylines which all come together in one exciting denouement!

I should think there is an international nasturtium shortage at the moment. And we all know why. It’s the poor sloths I feel for.

Talking of names, an idle google threw this up :

AoF stands for Assassin of Fun - it was Matt, the competitor who went out on Tuesday.

He was called that because
a) - we were putting a Tudor Court together (because of the rich beard harvest this year) - and he looked like a murderer

b) - he sucked all the joy out of food by using frightening ingredients (moss, sheep poo smoked salmon, hay etc)

He was amazinglytalented and really wowed the judges, but he was very, very smug and full of himself - and TBH could't hack it in the restaurant kitchen. He was shakinglikealeaf.

I've got a late entrant for the Bodice-Ripper's Ball, Schaden. He's from Dh's tree, not mine because mine were all peasants so he does have a very posh name: Demetrius Charles de Kavanaugh Bolger.

He's undoubtedly twirling both a silk-lined opera-cape and the ends of his dastardly, yet luxuriant, moustachios. Whilst eyeing up the pretty young soubrettes with vulpine avidity.

SPOILER ALERT: Dorian, although a Man of the Cloth, is not totally innocent oh I feel a Hellfire club subplot emerging, with kidnapping of fair young heiresses and despoiling of innocent young bootblacks. Our Pale young wench could be the plucky young cook that escapes and is revealed to be the long lost heiress to the Manoir and foils the darstardly plan by the twins and Wallace the grocer to turn it into a chop house. We need a dashing hero.
