Oh how I love the Strictly threads

DH can testify that I called the pasodoblathon exactly as per the judges except that I had Debbie ahead of Joe.

I voted Davood (because Nadiya’s good solid waltz with no faffing deserves to be encouraged), Alexandra ( because she might conceivably be in danger and I’d be devastated if she left, and people have said such horrible things about her) and Debbie (because she did a great AT and she’s had a tough week).

I didn’t vote for Susan because all in all I think this would be a great week for her to go out. I’m not sure she will though.

As a rule the comedy trier/People’s Champion stays in up to the point where the fan sites say “enough is enough, surely they have to go this week”. And then they don’t go that week and someone who’s goodish but was never going to win (Molly) goes instead of them and everyone screams “ Nooooo! Molly Woz Robbed!” And we have the Annual John Sargeant Memorial Panic (TM Monkseal) and everyone on the fansites says “Oh shit! people are idiots and the comedy duffer really is going to win this time and it will be the worst thing ever and I’ll never watch the show again!” And then the tabloids print stories including the word Shock and Outrage. And then the week after the duffer’s vote all magically evaporates like floating soap bubbles in the path of a 747 and they go home and the GBP say “Had you going there that time eh? ”

I've just watched, thought Debbie did bloody well in that AT, but she looks exhausted in the vt, I feel sorry for her.

I hope Gemma doesn't go, she's been improving most weeks and I've wanted her to win since day one but if Debbie wins I'll be delighted for her.

I love Susan but her time is up I'm afraid.

I'm not keen on Mollie but that's AJs fault.

I think Alexandra is brill but don't think she'll win.

Joe and Davood are doing great but Joe has the edge, I really like him.

I can't unsee the comparison between AJ and the dictator which hasn't helped my dislike. Does anyone know how many couples will be in the final this year? Too much bingo drinking has crippled my memory

Thanks for the music name slartybartfast! I was then able to Google and the film I know it from is Schindlers List. Phew, what a relief - it was doing my head in trying to place it.
