green The dislike for Alexandra is rather over the top, happens every week, and is tedious, but I don't think it's racist. I can understand why people might find her irritating (I don't).

I think AB will be in the bottom 2 again. She had no elegance at all. The Charleston should look girly like a flapper. She made me feel uncomfortable.

Davood does have his work cut out lifting his tall and statuesque partner which makes keeping his balance difficult. Shame.

Debbie has so far danced only balletic styles which she excels in. Has she danced the Jive yet?. Her beautiful arched and pointed feet are breath taking.

Joe was again delightful..

Think AB and Davood/Gemma might be in the DO.

I don't warm to AB because of the way she come across (not very sincere and rather superficial). Offended you think it is because of her colour.
This is a warm, friendly, fun thread. I'd like to keep it that way!

i dont think AB hate is racist at all, usually each year there is somebody who i cannot warm to for whatever reason, before its been Peter Andre, Helen George or anyone James Jordan seemed to be partnered with but that was probably just him !

Bite me. You have no idea what ethnicity any of us are. And it's such a lazy and easy accusation, isn't it, racism? "Ooh, if I don't like what a person says, I can just call them racist". A bit like if I didn't like what my boss said to me about my work, it would be really easy to just shrug it off as him being sexist rather than actually questioning whether he had a point and I needed to address something about the way I did my job.

Loved Debbie and Gio (Gio in cat ears looked gorgeous), it can't be easy for DMcG being relatively recently widowed but hey she doesn't play any sympathy cards so I won't do it for her.
I know Davoods dance wasn't technically the best but I really like him and hope he doesn't get put out next week.

Thought AB was too heavy and almost chargy in her dance. Molly is improving every week isn't she, Joe was terrific again - I suspect it might be Gemma and Alijaz who go out this week.

Fuzzy It's hardly warm and fuzzy. It's pretty unkind what people have said about AB. Can't imagine anyone saying those comments to her face.

Again, I think you are being ridiculous. AB doesn't really bother me but I can totally see why people don't like her.

She may be being 'her' but I can see how she could be seen as fake.

I don't think AB's boots did her any favours; even if they weren't, they looked heavy.

greennailvarnish I think you could be right albeit at a subconscious level. We instinctively like people that look like us - research has proved that many times.

Voted for AB, Debbie and Joe. Think it could be Davood/Gemma against either Debbie or AB in the dance off.

If you look at AB's early auditions as a teenager in the X - Factor, she is pretty much the same. Simon Cowell said right at the beginning "You look great and you've got a great personality". She went on to win the show.
I cannot see how anyone can be annoyed by her. Some people just can't believe that someone can be genuinely nice.
Of course, you can't please everyone.
I think Debbie is great and is my favourite to win.

I agree with pinkteddy. I really want Debbie to do well, and I think that's partly because I'm a woman in my 50s, so I can see how hard it is for her physically.

Just catching up. I think this is the week I’ve finally slipped over into full on Team Joe/Katya because I loved that implausible samba - it seemed to my inexpert eyes to have been very technically strong. Didn’t really take to Debbie’s dance although clearly objectively good. Can’t believe that Shirley gave a 9 to Mollie’s rumba despite the socking great illegal lift - was she really saying it was otherwise perfect? Alexandra I thought was great but lost a bit of energy right at the end (unsurprisingly given the very full on choreography) so I wouldn’t give her a ten. She’s not been well served by wardrobe in the shorter dresses IMO - she’s in great physical shape obviously but she’s got much more powerfully built legs by comparison with the female pro dancers and wardrobe have put her in some quite unflattering styles. I think (hope) she’ll be safe so I’m voting Joe/Katya x 3

Think AB is a brilliant dancer but she irritates me as a person because I find her false. It is nothing to do with her appearance. Oh and for the record? Bloody adore my black family! No racism from me! And I think if you look back at threads Debbeh also divides opinion. Is that racist too? Hmm

All three of our votes went to Joe. Alexandra and Debbie were both good too, but I love Joe and he is so enthusiastic.
