Although DD (11) stopped watching at the star fish sex so it wa just me and DS2 16). I had to explain what "spawning" meant last week and she hasn't recovered.

Louise Redknapp managed to avoid a dance off in the entire series. I thought she was dull and I have no idea who would have voted her.

What did Alexandra say to Gorka after the dance off? Did anyone catch it? It sounded like I love you. Sad to see Susan go. I’ll miss her in musicals week. First time we’ll see Kevin in the role of spare pro ever.

All of those otters, floating around as a sort of furry "otter island" (and probably holding paws and singing) was lovely. St Cuthbert would have wet himself with delight!* I nearly did myself, and I've never been the recipient of their ottery kisses (more's the pity),

I didn't hear that but I would assume she meant by having watched videos of Shirley.

I was googling Strictly this morning to see who had never been I noticed the dance off as a PP said Gemma hadn't. There is an srticle in the Express saying how AB "pleaded” with Shirley. Even reading the quotes they've used that is not how I remember the exchange at all it was just joking. They seem to have twisted it completely. I bet if it had been said by one of their favourites it would have been reported completely differently.

Fuzzy Custard Exactly I mentioned that Antiques Show with Debbie upthread. Yes she was very unlikeable , threatening the nice presenter girl with a bunch of fives (sort of pretending it was a joke) if she didn't get her own way about a cheap looking necklace . Which lost money in the auction .

OMG The Fashion Show last night !!!!!! I'll watch that again BRILLIANT. Yes Oti is a find she must have her her own show. I loved the 'audience' The whole thing was FAB…U….LOUS DAHLING !!!!

I got something in my eye when Susan gave her leaving speech. She's genuinely loved her experience.

I think Susan was very funny puncturing the silly pretence that she had any chance of staying (Kevin looked both amused and mortified at her comments!) but she should have dropped the 'judges who've given me so much light and love' stuff; they DID actually give her a lot of praise and constructive criticism most weeks. She just came across as rather bitter, IMO.

She and Kevin were very sweet, though, and clearly adore each other.

Gorka was FURIOUS at being in the dance-off and at Susan poking fun. He needs to work on his game face.

Tess continues to patronise and comes across as fake.

Re: dresses, I seem to remember that Erin and, I think, Natalie used to get theirs made by a specialist company rather than using Strictly's wardrobe team; maybe Nadiya does too? Not to throw shade on Vicky Gill, who I love, but Nadiya's outfits are particularly gorgeous.

Thanks for posting that video, RosemaryHoight, there can never be too much Oti ever on a Monday morning. She was breathtaking last night, in a class of her own.

I'll miss Susan as she was at the start of the series, and as she was in the joking about the DO, but I thought her leaving speech was far too OTT and embarrassing. I wonder what her wife thinks about this constant 'Strictly is the best thing in my life ever' narrative. She's been getting very serious and intense about Strictly in recent weeks, which has meant that the joy and fun has gone out of her performances, so it's right that she went.

I was reading online that there is Nadya envy some dancers said she was more like a lapdancer 😲 it was in the Star so obviously true but the bitchiness that the press generate is quite sinister imo

Never mind the dancers' dresses, I want the one Claudia was wearing in the results show. Anyone know where it might be from? It would obviously be waaaaay beyond my budget, but looked very useful for the festive season!

Yes I loved the fashion show. Oti was incredible and I quite enjoyed seeing Pasha camp it up. I miss Pasha, he always seemed nice. Liked the judges in the audience too, particularly Craig.

Is Derek Hough Shirley's stepson? I can't quite remember the relationship but in an interview pre-Strictly she said that Cheryl had been round for Sunday roast, in America I think and then she fell ill so originally they thought it was food poisoning but it was when she had malaria. I think it was the times/Sunday times.

I was looking on Tess's Instagram and she does use the stylist I mentioned earlier for SCD because she tags him in pictures. He has quite a hit-and-miss eye imvho.
