I was so pleased for Gemma that the dance was as special as it was.
I loved Davood and that Paso too.

Late to it tonight Mollie - quite liked it, much better lifts than her salsa Susan - disappointed, probably because I was psyched for it (a pp asked about the musical, it is next year with Jonny Labbey as Scott so unless Kev chucks marbles on the dancefloor, that ship has sailed...plus his wife's arch nemesis Will Young is in it as a band leader made up part) Debs - I thought the samba rolls esp with the wig looked really awful Jonnie - still DDs favourite - really wish they would confirm his bum will ALWAYS stick out rather than avoiding mentioning the prosthesis Gemma - also my favourite (that's how I would do a lift btw - use the bench. Props for the bench or bench-bothering as I have been calling it since last week!) Alex - Didn't like the theme and music, sorry Alex, my bad Davood - I liked it especially the parachuting but it didn't scream out paso to me. Interesting use of Quantum Of Solace intro Joe - Looked like he dropped her and was dressed like one of Rod, Jane and Freddie. Or a wiggle. Sorry Joe.

So much over-marking day especially when compared to previous series.
Debbie needs to do a traditional ballroom routine now.
After all the hype about Kevin's dance I actually fell asleep in the middle of it.
I don't think the constant comments about his spine (that he can't control) do much to help push Johnnie.
I think I've just fallen even more in love with Alijaz ❤️

Johnny Labbey is a fantastic dancer! As they seem to be ok with trained, performing, ringers on SCD, maybe they should get him on.

Has anyone else noticed that Darcey can never look Shirley in the eye or is it just me!?

Watched late so we couldn't vote but I would have gone for our favourite Joe (though I agree he was grimacing somewhat tonight), Alexandra (for the dancing) and DD's hypothetical vote went as usual to Jonnie.
Agree with PP that some of the costumes were really poor, seemed a bit dressing-up-box.
DH has decreed that it is Susan's time to go. Maybe a Susan/Jonnie DO this week?

Johnny labbey was in eastenders for a while but i prefer his dancing to his acting he is v musical theatre he will be fab inStrictly ballroom Will young though

Didn't like joe music he didn't look like he found it very easy tonight

For it being Blackpool I felt really underwhelmed

Alex is a fabulous dancer and I liked her on x factor but can't warm to her on strictly. The bit in her by where she said it was an honour to be the first chosen to do an Argentine tango made me think- this is why people don't like you. I did like her quick step tonight but Gemma was my favourite.

I always find Blackpool below par. I don't know if it's because they build it up so much, or that the venue just doesn't suit the format, or if it's the extra dancers, but it always falls flat for me.

Have we established what that drop was all about? It was obviously meant to happen but how the hell did that not hurt

Alexandra is miles ahead of everyone. She’s a natural performer. She is a bit gushy but maybe she really is just genuinely happy to be on it. I’d be pretty happy to be wrapping my arm round Gorka’s waist tbh

Gemma was excellent tonight. If she continues at this standard then she will make it to the final.

Alexandra was also impressive, but I feel that it's getting very predictable each week, which may be another reason why she doesn't receive as big an applause as others contestants.

I'd really like Joe to win but tonight's performance had too many tricks that looked clumsily executed. The slides, lifts etc just detracted from the overall salsa performance. The drop at the end looked painful.

I like Davood with his enthusiasm and determination to do well. However, I thought the Paso lacked shaping and movement at times.

Disappointed with Susan's Paso as I was really looking forward to it.

Yes they went to wembley I can remember Lisa Riley and Robin Windsor was there, I think they were trying to keep up with Xfactor.

Did anyone else spot Graham Norton in the audience? Or do I need new glasses?!

Christ, wardrobe was grim tonight. Except for Alexandra, who looked amazing as always. They really give her the best stuff.
