Getting back to the dancing, I’ve caught up on ITT and thought Vincent’s critique of the dances was very good. I’m glad he pointed out Debbie’s lack of bounce in her Samba which the Judges seemed to ignore.

Yes I liked Vincent too. He doesn't take things too seriously.

I have just discovered the joys of the Ultimate Strictly website and have spent a happy half hour working out which dances each of the remaining celebs have left. Surprising how many of them haven't actually done a waltz yet.

I'm curious to know how dances are allocated - is it all decided strategically by the producers? By my reckoning they each have 4 dances left after this Saturday, and only 2 weeks to do them... so will they do 2 dances each week after this Sat, or will they miss one or more out (if so, do they get to choose which one[s] they skip)? Also (sorry!) do they only get to do the Argentine tango by special invitation? I would like to see both Gemma and Davood get the chance.

I think it's strategic. And yes, they normally start doing two dances in about early December.

I don't know about the Argentine tango. I think in earlier series, when they had the much more sensible set-up of one Latin, one ballroom in each show, it was more by elimination IYSWIM –it was only introduced at a certain point, so only those who got to that point would get to do it.

In this series I definitely feel that they're giving it to the dancers they perceive to be the most able at it.

It used to be only the semi-finalists got to do the AT so we always got 4 decent attempts all at the same time so we could compare the. To each other.

This week is the Paso-Off so this is probably the start of the two dances.

I wish it would go back to alternating Latin then Ballroom with Charleston, Salsa and AT introduced in the last few weeks.

I read somewhere that the professional is allowed to choose to skip one dance. Does anyone know whether that's true?

I know Susan's time is probably up, but as she's pointed out on Twitter, the week after next is quarter finals and in a way I would love to see her make the quarter finals.

I was just googling strictly to find out something else and whoever mentioned the tabloids having it in for Debbie is right. I don't want them to get more clicks, but today's story is horrible.

I don’t think the Daily Star have anything so elevated as an agenda to Get Debbie - they’re just publishing any old click bait (I haven’t clicked, just saw the headline).

The trouble is people will be either reading that rubbish or seeing it at petrol stations or shops or on Twitter

You would have to be really strong character to be able to ignore the bullying and not want to just hide under the duvet with hot water bottle - really hope she has some lovely friends around her I think Giovanni has been really respectful and kind to her, glad he is such a lovely man

I mean can't even go to the shops or pay for petrol without seeing your photo or headlines saying horrible lies about yourself

Sadly, last week she must think the uk public are believing the lies and so didn't vote for her

I'm no stranger to the Daily Mail or the Sun, but I don't read the Star, is this kind of thing typical? To me it seems beyond the pale. Sure I've seen a lot of horrible, misogynistic stuff over the years to the tabloid favourites - Katie Price, Kerry Katona, Kim K (all the K's are coming into my head!), but this is just vile. Probably sounding v naive right now!
