Can I say that I like Chris B - not the one who was ousted last night...

Sherbert37 · 15/04/2007 19:09

We like:
Me - Lee (those curls)
DS1 - Keith (ahh)
DD - blonde boy band looking one
DS2 - Rob

binker · 15/04/2007 21:22

actually, quite like Rob the builder too and now I think of it,Daniel....

Flamesparrow · 15/04/2007 22:58

I like the second one that sang (is he the one in Phantom?)

scatterbrain · 15/04/2007 23:14

I like Seamus best and Lee second ! Have just booked my tickets to go !!!

MintChocChippyMinton · 16/04/2007 11:33

I like Lee but not sure if 'he is joseph'.
DC like Keith the singing sizzler, they want to pop down to the supermarket and see if he's there LOL

Molesworth · 16/04/2007 11:44

I think Johndeep is ALW's favourite

It will be such a bore if one of the blond boy band types wins

flatmouse · 16/04/2007 12:11

Can never remember names, but IMO the wrong 2 were in bottom 2. Should not have been Ben but Christian? the blond one that was in the "last 3" before we knew who was in sing-off. And it should have been said blonde one that went.

"Music Teacher" man is so full of himself, i find him really irritating - and surely he should be Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar not Joseph? Not too taken with "understudy" man either.

Do agree standards seem better than Marias. No major favourite yet (also don't like David Beckham with a voice) but i did like Rob (the builder) and JohnDeep.

flatmouse · 16/04/2007 13:30

FS - in answer to your question from the grease thread - the skinny one with the eyebrows that DvO said when imagining him in a loin cloth she's thinking baby joseph in nappies.

InTheseShoes · 16/04/2007 14:16

Oooh, I watched this on Satuday with my Mum and I am hooked!

I actually did think that the right one went, although I was surprised that the other one was in the last two - I thought that "David Beckham Joseph" should have been the other one.

Mum and I both picked out Seamus in the opening number, but immediately went off him in his VT - he was good though, but what an arrogant ! I like Johndeep too (hope the sob story isn't a cynical ploy) and also Keith from Tesco and Rob the Builder. Least favourites are aforementioned David Beckham Joseph, Nighclub cabaret Joseph (Craig?) and Phantom Understudy Joseph (Daniel??)

binker · 16/04/2007 14:17

Am not at all keen on Seamus the singing teacher - he is a bit full of himself...don't like the Beckham-alike much either.

binker · 16/04/2007 14:18

Phantom understudy is Lee

Thank you FM - impressed with the answering from the other thread

Thanks for saying who my bloke is too!!

I will try and concentrate next week

fannyannie · 16/04/2007 17:17

I like Rob - he really is just such raw talent a real "off the street" one that should be winning this type of programme - also like Johndeep partly because of his determination to go for the show even though his family probably wouldn't have approved. Hopefully now they've seen him perform and how far he's got in the competition (even if he doesn't win) they'll be more supportive of his desire to go into performing arts.

Lee is very good - but I don't think he should win........

Don't like Seamus (too up his own ar*e) or the Beckham look-a-like either.

Molesworth · 17/04/2007 10:31

I got the impression that the show was edited to make Seamus look bad. If he were really that bad none of the others would be talking to him, surely?

flatmouse · 17/04/2007 12:19

I think the others are intelligent enough to realise that they can "learn" from music-teacher man even whilst not liking him.

The boys were really quite candid in their thoughts on each other, but i feel it won't be a bitch-fest back at the house (which is what happened with the Marias) cause blokes just seem to deal with that kind of thing better.

Possibly quite a cynical thought (cause i quite like him apart from the sobbing!) now Johndeep has "come out" about his singing - how soon before he "comes out"?

Flamesparrow · 17/04/2007 14:51

My sister was saying that Johndeep is talking cr*p - something to do with he has been in young classical singer of the year type things so his parents etc have known all along?

Dunno where she got that though

fannyannie · 17/04/2007 14:56

hmm this would seem to sort of back up what your saying - mind you it still doesn't mean that his parents have supported him/ever been to watch him befor eI suppose??????

MintChocChippyMinton · 17/04/2007 14:59

Bill Kenwright did imply that he didn't believe that Johndeep had 'kept his voice under wraps'.

flatmouse · 17/04/2007 15:13

OMG ! His implication was not "my family haven't supported me" - his original implication was "i've never performed before". Maybe he was very clever with his words but that is what i understood him to mean.

How naive was i?!

fannyannie · 17/04/2007 15:28

I understood it that his family have never really supported him hence not having performed in front of them before.

And I suppose looking at the list of things he did - there's stuff from 2001-2 (to tie in with his English and Drama course at Brunel Uni) and then it jumps to 2005 - when he did a post-grad course at the RAM. - seen as though he was living in London there was nothing stopping him working a "proper" job (as presumably his family would have liked) and studying at the RAM at the same time.....

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt on this one (and believe that his family haven't supported his acting/musical career) purely based on that - and also my experience of boys that I taught in Zimbabwe who were very talented at singing/acting - but whose parents didn't support them at all - infact or two of the parents didn't even know that their sons were doing Arts as extra-curricular activites !

Flamesparrow · 17/04/2007 17:35

Still very clever wording to get the sympathy vote

scatterbrain · 17/04/2007 19:50

God - I thought they said that he had an ordinary job and sang as a hobby - and that his parents didn't even know that he could sing !!!

Very very disapointing ! makes you wonder how else we are being manipulated really !

fannyannie · 17/04/2007 20:58

scatter - he does - he IS an office administrator.

MrsCellophane · 20/04/2007 22:01

I read this on tues and am still SEETHING about falling for Johndeep's sob story. It deffo sounded like he had only sung in front of his bedroom mirror, with hairbrush!

MrsFish · 21/04/2007 21:39

It has to be Lee to win for me, I thought he was by far the best tonight and I can really seem him in the role. Great stage presence and gorgeous to boot
