With only six weeks of live shows, the winner will be announced on 2nd December. That is really early. Allows for them not being Xmas number one, as the single will also be out 'too early' for that?

Raffles exactly, it's taking away all element of surprise. We will now know who has been top each show. So come the final, since it will still be the public vote, I can't see the public suddenly voting differently.

Yy, Buttery it has been too early the last couple of years. It's also a lot more difficult anyway, due to streaming to get a number one off the bakc of something like this.

So , by doing the final really early, Simon can make out the number one was never his goal (whereas when it didn't happen before- Rage against the machine pipping them to it, for example, it was a big blow to the show).

He does not strike me as a shih-tzu person at all. But that will be a great conversation starter! People love talking about their dogs.

I love my dog. But he does not like X Factor. He was more scared by some of the noises from my tv than any of the fireworks. (He spent quite a while in the garden ,watching fireworks, actually, strange dog. ).

Raahh I worry for your dog, My DM'S dogs shake and hide behind the sofa when there's fireworks.

Music he seriously did not seem fussed. he stood in the garden for a wee, and watched a few fireworks, and never bothered.

This is the dog that barks at fresh air, usually.

I think maybe my dc are so noisy, he finds the fireworks soothing .

I saw Leon Jackson on stage at concert not long after he won x-factor and he was dire - he had no stage presence at all. There was a dinner lady called Niki in it the same year. I saw her I blood Brothers and she was fantastic.

I went out to the pub before the results as I didn't care. Never did that in the olden days!
