Fizz first please. And everyone related to her.

Actually he's going to have get Andy to start digging out an extension to fit them all in.

OP posts:
MusicToMyEars800 · 18/10/2017 22:11

Was he buying them? I thought he already had them Grin

MusicToMyEars800 · 18/10/2017 22:12

I thought that, it's not exactly the best time to be celebrating is it... The mother of his son has just died and they are all cheering and sipping champers Hmm

woodhill · 18/10/2017 22:13

Yes really insensitive and Ches is so boring. Sinead is young and Daniel is more interesting. Ches behaves like a 40 year old

scrabbler3 · 18/10/2017 22:19

That celebration was weird. They all knew Katie, they're close to Izzy, and they all understand, surely, that Joseph will be grieving. I can understand why she proposed but the champagne was too much. CS writers being unrealistic again.

GeillisTheWitch · 18/10/2017 22:55

Yeah the cheering and champagne was inappropriate. Katie's body wouldn't even be cold yet. And how are they going to afford a wedding when they're all jobless and skint. Same way they afford to be in the rovers every day of the week I suppose.

theliverpoolone · 18/10/2017 23:10

Izzy's, and Chesney's, acting was atrocious tonight. And skint or not, you would have thought Fiz or someone (Izzy, Katie's sister .....Hmm) might have flew out with him, considering he was supposedly sick enough to be in hospital.

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 18/10/2017 23:31

The whole storyline was ridiculous. If your brother/partners ex had died you wouldnt go to the pub. You ask what he needs you to do, make whatever phone calls you need to make, you offer to go with him to Joseph, the you sit at home with the rest of your family and say "I can't believe she is gone, she is so young. Poor Joseph."

Redglitter · 19/10/2017 00:41

Who actually owns the house Kirk/Beth/Craig etc live in. I know it was the Battersbys but I don't remember them selling it. I vaguely remembered them being council tenants which would be random since the houses have always been privately owned. If it had been council owned surely the tenancy for a family house wouldn't just be passed to Chesney as a young single person

Funny how it’s been a month and noones been down job centre or council to apply for housing benefit. In reality their landlord would evict them no don’t want anyone on benefits!!

Agree no one really would celebrate in pub. Surely it’s all shock talking even if they do decide to get married. They are acting like we never thought anyone would want her but she did it!

Did feel sorry for whats his face throwing up. Now that I can feel he has feelings for her, he did give up Oxford for her! Where is Joseph supposed to squeeze in?

CoolCarrie · 19/10/2017 16:34

Daniel should bugger off to Oxford, he is going to turn into his dad, of course that probably what the writers have planned for him, a Ken clone.

ArseholesOnToast · 19/10/2017 17:41

Where's the bad blood with Adam Barlow and the Connors come from?

If I remember right Danny Baldwin and Adam sold their shares in Underworld to Liam Connor after Mike died so why does Adam think he has a claim on the factory?

LoveMySituation · 19/10/2017 18:03

They are already turning Daniel into a Ken clone, having him sleep with his editor. Soon, he will start going through the Street Grin He's probably the only male that hasn't had Maria (yetGrin)

Eastie77 · 19/10/2017 18:03

Chesney leapt out of his hospital bed because he had to go and be with Jawseff NOW as he was "all alone and had no-one". Except he's not - he is with his maternal grandparents including the grandmother he has been living with for the last few years during which time Chesney has barely clapped eyes on him Confused

I wish Izzy had heard the news off-screen. Her acting is atrocious and the attempt at grief was awful. Beyond ridiculous that she would not fly to Portugal as well.

Sinead's proposal..words fail me.

I hope this silly storyline is an elaborate way of the writers surprising us and bringing back Owen. Loved him. Can't remember why Anna broke up with him but gosh..going from him to Kev. Talk about trading down.

Agree that Mary's over-bearing behaviour is completely out of character. If anything, she would do anything to placate Angie so as to ensure she sticks around. The scene where she made Angie go out with Toyah was silly. Angie is supposed to a no nonsense type but meekly allowed herself to be randomly railroaded into visiting an art gallery with someone she barely knows.

LoveMySituation · 19/10/2017 18:08

Is it down to Adam being Mike Baldwin's son? The bad blood I mean. That doesn't seem right, think I've missed something

LoveMySituation · 19/10/2017 18:12

Agree Eastie, Chesney doesn't see to think of Joseph at all, until now, poor kid will be upset by this strange man around. Maybe the actor needed an emergency write out.

Eastie77 · 19/10/2017 19:04

I think Adam thinks the Connors swindled him and got his share massively below market price. As he was very young he didn’t know better and took their offer etc. Now he is bitter as he realises they should have paid more. Or something like that.

Now I think of it, did Adam turn up to Mike’s funeral?

Akire · 19/10/2017 19:21

To be fair as a Wheelchair user myself it’s difficult to go abroad with lots of planning. You need book a train assitence 24h in advance so unlike airport would just help. Never mind if there are accessible taxis where they are going to take her big Wheelchair. Then if the family home has steps and or a bathroomin ground.

MusicToMyEars800 · 19/10/2017 19:27

Izzy's character gets on my nerves.

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 19/10/2017 20:12

Also Izzy has a child of her own to look after and Gary is away in Milan so she would have no-one to leave (forget his name) with.

Redglitter · 19/10/2017 20:43

Thanks Smeaton possibly another thing the writers have just over looked. Slightly random that the council would buy a privately owned house then sell it to a random anon character

SergeantFredColon · 19/10/2017 21:00

Eastie and Music as far as I remember Anna and Owen broke up after Phelan forced her to sleep with him (ew) and even though Owen understood Anna didn't believe he still wanted her so told him to move out. I think.

theliverpoolone · 19/10/2017 21:00

Chesney must be sub-letting then, as Beth was wondering whether he might give her and Kirk a rent reduction Hmm

I wonder if the actress who played Katie knew she was about to be killed off?? No going back for her now!

Eastie77 · 20/10/2017 12:35

I think Owen and Anna 'got over' the Phelan thing and I vaguely remember something else cropping up to do with Owen's ex-wife.

Izzy could have left her son (Jake?) with his grandma Anna. Totally understand it would be difficult for her to travel at short notice but she didn't appear to be making plans to go at all!

Thank goodness Katie can't come back...unless she does a Kathy Mitchell style return in 15 years timeGrin

eddiemairswife · 20/10/2017 13:13

I always thought that Katie had a lovely face, but I had to use the subtitles to understand what she said.
