I'm surprised ilove seeing as they vote the first ones off tonight. Maybe you can't bet until the first show finishes for some reason. That's odd.

I've just looked online now and the odds are all up. To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if the guy wasn't sure what he was doing. We were out in a small town about 15 miles from home and thought we'd put our bets on. We were the only women in the place and the rest were sterotypical gamblers - just missing the flat caps! They were all clustered round the TV screens and when we said we wanted to put on the bet for SCD, he asked which race it was. (Ilove goes into hysterical laughter at this point). He made us wait whilst he took bets for the next race, then he tapped the screen a few times and said betting hadn't opened. We'll go out tomorrow and do it I think.

That's hilarious ilove as if SCD would be a race horse!

I really liked Ruth and Anton's Charleston. I don't think anyone ever does a bad Charleston.

Was it Karen who got Will Young last year? I don't think she's going to get very far with Simon either even though this was a better dance than last week for him. What a terrible spin at the end!

It was bad enough that they all turned to look at us as we walked in but then the mix up at the desk just made me laugh like a maniac. My friend was laughing at me (but she didn't really know why I was laughing) and the more I laughed, the redder I went.

Anyone seen the thread on here entitled 'Why is Debbie McGee on Strictly?' It's a tough one to decide because she was a professional ballet dancer many years ago. But it's lovely to see a mature lady who is so good. Giovanni must be pretty pleased. That was really lovely.

I think she might come a cropper in the jive or Latin. Ballroom suits her well.

I think she'd be good at the Rumba, argentine tango and cha cha cha but yes possibly the salsa, jive or samba might be a bit awkward. I think she's good enough but I suppose it depends on the public. Will they vote for her?
