Interview with BA .... www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/mediapacks/ourgirl3/ben

kazzaD66 · 28/09/2017 13:09

Thanks for the link nickel . Read the other interviews aswell. Not sure how I feel about knowing too much beforehand. In some ways, I'm desperate for news but then maybe it's better just to wait for the show rather than trying to read things into what is being said in an interview Confused
It sounds as if CJ might go a bit wibble and who betrays him - Captain Azzizi, surely not Elvis? Also, not sure what he means by the Molly comments, doesn't sound good - see what I mean about reading stuff into things Hmm
Not sure I can forgive BA for saying he wouldn't be friends with CJ Angry !!!

Flowerfan · 28/09/2017 13:26

I agree Kazza reading the interview has not done a lot for my nerves I just hope my negative worries are unfounded

Rhubarb01 · 28/09/2017 14:27

Hello everyone! Well, suddenly lots of news. I've read the interviews and I'm glad that the Georgie and Elvis story is on-going and I have to say that it all sounds good, so I've fingers crossed for the whole series BUT I'm terribly nervous for CJ and his future. It sounds like he'll have a more substantial role in this series but it doesn't sound good for him! I just hope that whatever happens doesn't destroy my love of series 1. I love the bit in the interview with BA when he says that he and CJ would have an awkward conversation as they're not alike. That's quite funny really.

TRish47 · 28/09/2017 17:49

I agree with you Rhu. I just hope he and Molly are going to be OK. ( tad worried now)
It was interesting to read that when the others were asked if they could relate to their characters, they all agreed. Apart from BA!
Intriguing.
If there is to be S4 perhaps he won’t be on it? PTSD?
Looks like Dr Boring has gone along with most of the Lane family, although I did like Lulu. I thought she was good value.
Early days and I have possibly read to much into the interviews.

Ilovelblue · 29/09/2017 00:05

I know I posted here earlier today but I've no idea where it disappeared to! I am loving all the news - it's been like a desert for months and months and now there's just so much publicity! Loved reading the interviews - have done the BA and LP ones but need to finish the others. It made me laugh that BA wouldn't really relate to CJ. I'm trying not to read to much into the plot lines though and will be happy to take up my place in front of the telly and take it as it comes.

I know Rhu and I are in the minority, but I for one am pleased the Georgie and Elvis story continues.

Rhu and Flower are we on for the watchalong again on Sunday?

TRish47 · 29/09/2017 03:14

Ilove, I also hope that Elvis and Georgie make a go of it, so to speak. But I also have a vested interest in CJ and Molly! I wish I could join in the watch along however the time difference does not help. *Rhu Smile I loved your latest update. I have introduced your stories to another OG fan. She is also a Jane Austen fanHalo.
Late afternoon over here and nearly wine time. It has been a glorious spring day. Xxx

Flowerfan · 29/09/2017 08:01

Good morning everyone
Lovely to see more fans joining in again
DITTO to your remarks ilove
I know I a CJ but do love the chemistry between Elvis and Georgie. Perhaps them getting together will depend on whether she wants to do another series if she goes to join her husband in America. Can’t say I’m keen on him seems to be a publicity seeker. Spoilt by CJ and Elvis.

Can’t believe how this programme has taken such a hold on my life!!!
Sad or what?

Flowerfan · 29/09/2017 08:02

Am

Flowerfan · 29/09/2017 08:03

Flowerfan · 29/09/2017 08:04

Hopefully all good for Sunday

Flowerfan · 29/09/2017 08:29

See article in MailOnline about MKand Elvis! And husband!

Ilovelblue · 29/09/2017 10:59

Never seen the appeal of Mark Wright, sorry.

A friend emailed me last night and at the end said 'Seen a trailer for OG. Did you say it was worth watching? Seem to think there was a guy in it you liked.'

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 29/09/2017 11:00

Hmmm I seem to have controlled my adoration quite well when talking to her, wouldn't you say?

Flowerfan · 29/09/2017 12:28

Well done ilove there are only two close friends and perhaps DD has guessed how mad I am.
Don't care though everything OG has helped me through two difficult years first flooding and then health worries these sorted, flood problems not quite hopefully soon
Roll om the 10th October

kazzaD66 · 29/09/2017 14:01

No one knows about my CJ obsession, so not quite sure how to watch the new series! It was easier last year because DH worked away from home during the week and DS usually in bed by 9pm. This year, however, DS a year older obs! so generally going to bed after 9pm and DH now changed jobs and home every night Confused
Will have to record and watch back the following day whilst I'm home alone, although that won't work during the upcoming 2 weeks half term, unless I can ship DS off somewhere for an hour or so.
Oh, the subterfuge Blush

Alwaysfrank · 29/09/2017 15:00

Luckily my other half enjoyed series 1 so series 2 wasn't a hard sell. However, although he enjoyed ogling MK he wasn't very keen on the series as a whole so not sure how I will get on persuading him that this is a must-see!

Ilovelblue · 29/09/2017 20:49

Where there's a will there's a way kazza.

I've just watched the interview from This Morning with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langford talking to Luke P. If you are an Elvis fan, it's a pleasant few mins. Have to say though, I've never watched anything on the ITV Hub before and it was a bit of a pain (unless it's just because it was the first time). It came on about 11.05 (as in just after 11 o'clock) but it seemed only to move on in 15 min intervals with loads of adverts!

Afternoon all. It's good to be talking new OG stuff again. Suddenly we seem overrun with information, clips of film, interviews. I know the series 3 DVD was on pre-order on Amazon but having taken a look at it today I've realised that it's £14.99 for just the first four parts. I wonder if we wait until all 12 episodes are broadcast whether there will be an omnibus edition at something of a discount. I will definitely reserve my judgment until I've at least seen the first 8 episodes this time but it sounds promising. I hope.

I'm afraid to read too much into the storylines but I have a theory now although I'm not going to share as I don't want to annoy anyone. I'll just wait to see what pans out. On the subject of Mark Wright - strictly neutral. I'm sure he's a very nice chap, he seemed nice on SCD even though he's not exactly my cup of tea but then I'm not married to him so it doesn't matter!

I'm definitely on for the watchalong on Sunday ilove. It's my warm up for series 3. From what has been suggested there could even be a series 4! I'll also be around for SCD tonight Glitterball if anyone else would like to pass the time of day with the odd comment. I'll try to restrain myself - I said that last week as well but will promise this time Grin

Thanks for the comments on the story TRish. I'm finding it the toughest I've ever tried so I appreciate it. Smile

Rhubarb01 · 30/09/2017 14:45

Just wanted to add that, although I hate myself for doing it, I read that Daily Mail article about LP and MK. They are so awful at vague insinuations. It's not the first time. I am so glad I'm not famous - ha ha, sorry to disappoint you all - I overheard a young girl on the bus the other day refreshingly saying something similar. She was of the opinion that it would be fine to be successful or famous for doing something really worthwhile in life but who on earth would want to be famous for just being famous. It's understandable why quite a lot of actors keep low profiles off screen (I'm not saying that MK is quite in that category) but you know what I mean. OK rant over. Will be around later.

Flowerfan · 30/09/2017 16:02

Oh dear now I know I’ve flipped!!!!
F 1 from Kuala Lumpur and I’m looking to see if I can spot any of the gang in the crowd.
I really do need to get a life🙈😏

Rhubarb01 · 30/09/2017 19:03

I'm here but not overdoing it:

Chizzy - ok but not very slick. Find her a bit overpowering. Love that colour purple though!
Aston - stupid film! Well he's not shy. some good tricks and lifts. Bet he makes the final.

Rhubarb01 · 30/09/2017 19:12

Susan - great comedy, good timing, lovely sense of humour - awful outfit but a good dance for her.

Rhubarb01 · 30/09/2017 19:18

Charlotte - oh goodness, I feel so bad for her. That was painful and she looked so stiff and nervous poor woman. But she looked fab!
