I expect I can do next Sunday as well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I will be back home for 9pm on Tuesday but I have to do a pick up at 8.30pm and it depends on whether DD is prompt or not.

I do quite like the Rab/Maisie relationship and have laughed a few times. (not the comment about him slobbering over her assets though as that was a bit gross) CJ is on course for a massive wobble by the looks of things and I suspect I know who may be to blame.

I don't buy the Georgie/Milan relationship and I also hope Two Section don't go back to the village as judging by the rubbishy tents they were constructing they haven't been doing much good.

Plenty of food for thought, though.

Couldn't agree more Wibbly - he very much livened up a so-so episode. In fact, he's bloody gorgeous.

Absolutely no idea what Georgie sees in Milan. I find him every so slightly creepy if I am honest. I also thought the storyline and some of the actual conversation smacked of series 1, but since we appeared to criticise series 2 and kept harking back to the previous series, then maybe that's no bad thing.

On a more trivial note, I liked Georgie's hair when she was out of uniform. It was a bit shorter than previously I think and it suited her.

Need to get to bed now for an early start tomorrow so will watch again tomorrow night and maybe comment further.

Well that kept me awake. Yes bits again reminded me of OG1 and I did think CJ seemed to have got himself together a bit by the end. We shall see another week to wait!! I just want it to carry on Elvis certainly looked good I like the shorter hair. Still don’t like Milan. And so to bed🛏🛏

Better episode this week. A bit more CJ but nowhere near enough.

Just watched episode two on the iPlayer. That bit when CJ was having a moment in the tent, talking to Kingy about "this fucking place", and looking pensive, anyone else think he was about to start talking about Molly? I was hoping he would, certainly looked like he might be thinking of her. And towards the end, Milan's chat up line to get Georgie into the house, so similar to CJ's in series one, I didn't like that, think TG could have come up with something more original for them, surely.

Watched it last night - my thoughts:

Definitely not enough Elvis, and loved the short hair when he did, eventually, appear.

I agree, Milan creepy and I don't know what Georgie sees in him.

Loved the Maisie/Rab interaction, it will be interesting to see how (if) this develops.

Trivial note - how did Georgie miraculously conjure up a brand new outfit, complete with jewellery when she went out in Khatmandu? I thought they went off on a sudden rescue of the children, and not have time to pack an overnight "night out" bag.

Despite its flaws and sometimes cheesy dialogue, I'm quite enjoying it and looking forward to next week.

Ditto the comments about Georgie's outfit - I was wondering when the rest of two section flew down to Khatmandu whether they would be bringing everyone else's stuff as I assumed they'd just rushed off as well.

Firegirl I agree about the CJ moment. I thought he was going to mention Molly too especially as Kingy was talking about his kids. It wouldn't have been inappropriate to say something but then I wondered if something was going on at home and he felt awkward about phoning or talking to Molly or maybe he just felt a bit at sea with everything on this tour and wanted to talk to her in private about it. I also wondered about CJ's son - never seen or mentioned since series 1 - it might have been a moment for CJ to say something about him?

I wonder if CJ is beginning to question the point of a marriage in which they barely see each other - not necessarily that he wants it to be over but that one of them or maybe both of them need to be around for the other a bit more and perhaps it's time he considered getting out.

I also noted the "Did it work?" comment and in relation to a superior brand of coffee - Noooo that isn't right! I'm also beginning to see Rab as another Smurf. I like him but I think he's got a better chance of actually getting the girl this time. Not to mention the focus on a little girl again. I feel a bit like 'The Last Leg' here by asking "Is it ok...to not really like Tara/Thara/Fara very much?" Don't all shout at me - it's just fiction!

For superior please read inferior although according to those who tried Rosabaya the above statement may be true!

The Maisie/Rab interaction reminded me of Smurf (RIP ). However I swear there was something in the preview about Maisie and Elvis being involved so it could all get very complicated.
That scene in the tent with CJ wanting to get a phone signal was a real teaser. Who was he desperate to talk to? Kingy also seemed surprised at how CJ's mood.

Don't much like the Georgie/Milan affair, but Rab and Maisie are cute. I thought Da Chand turning from child trafficker to international weapons smuggler observed by the secret services was a bit wild.

Maisie and Elvis? Hm. So far, we only have this one question "You and Elvis?" by Georgie -- I mean, they could have offered to do the washing up after dinner!
... and noone noticed Captain Azizi in the preview?? (Yay! Always liked him.)

Hi everyone, I've just watched episode 2 again. I got a bit more out of it today as I was late to the party last night and needed to get to bed for an early start today. Found even more similar lines etc to series 1 than I did last night. Poor TG. We liked series 1 so much but don't seem to like him trotting out similar themes/lines/scenarios this time.

I laughed at Georgie when she was out and about in Kathmandu with Milan and how she'd dressed herself up. Considering that she left her mother (and her cake!) the minute CJ called her when they were at a Manchester cafe, I am surprised she had enough time to pack some "going out" clothes in her bergen. It reminded me a bit of the last series after Elvis had been injured and they were all sitting together and Spanner played the guitar. He definitely didn't have that guitar when they all jumped out of the helicopter in the "Here come the boys" scene.

How she could go to bed with Milan after such a short period of time, I have no idea. Maybe a near death experience hurried things along a bit, but he's just odd. She really knows how to pick 'em!

Pinot lovely to have a newcomer onto our thread. We are mad but harmless I think! Great to have a fellow Elvis fan too! I particularly liked the end of the episode where he reappears and looks quite masterful delivering the briefing alongside CJ.

Rather nervous for CJ - is he going to have a meltdown. The scene with Kingy in their quarters was rather worrying.

Out of interest, what rank is Kingy supposed to be (sergeant?)

Another random question, when do these guys wear their berets and when do they wear those funny little khaki hats a bit like somebody might wear when they are out fishing? Anyone know?

Some comments:

• thus far, so much better than S2
• I wasn’t in lusr with Elvis in S2 but am now :-)
• Am I the only one who finds Milan hot??
• too samey with S1?? The fgirl (and never clear if they spied?), the parallel in some of the romances, Molly/Maisie parallels
• CJ not so hot any more! And I was a major fan
• BA’s career has gone no where... maybe down??

GL singing Jerusalem as she was pinned down by the fallen house was really cringey. No idea how this relationship with Milan has developed so quickly and what does she see in him?

I've watched the last 10 mins of ep2 quite a few times now just to perve on Elvis. I'd love to bump into him in a dark corridor!!
