Tonight?? I thought it was next week. Oh well that's my Saturday night sorted. I know how to live, me.

I still can't get used to this Friday night lark.

Even Victoria said she hoped it would be reinstated to a Monday (or words to that effect).

Yes, it still feels unnatural to watch it on Friday evening.
Didn't one mumsnetter solve this problem by watching it on iplayer during it's usual Monday evening slot?

It really isn't Friday night viewing. They should have kept it on a Monday with University Challenge.

I find the contestants unbearable most of the time, but that's why I love it. They're always so unashamedly competitive and pedantic, covering all bases with their full and lengthy answers. There's no need to mention the outfits...

I agree not Friday night viewing - it also takes a few episodes to get used to the logic again I think. I really struggled Friday apart from missing vowels

I normally record it and watch it at its right time on Mondays. Apart from this first one, I watched it last night because I couldn't wait. Saddo.

DS2 who is 11, has just said it's wrong that Only Connect isn't on straight after University Challenge.

I agree, it should be on now! Loved the cool vicar on Fri, and we totally smashed the missing vowels round in casa Clary :)

I like it but always feel completely thick by the end of it !

I though this week's was really tough though, usually we get a few answers or at least get close on a few things in the early rounds. I don't think we got anything apart from some of the missing vowels this week.

DD is a theatre fangirl so she was delighted to get the swing/alternate/understudy connection in the second wall :)

DH and I thought it was a particularly tough episode for round one (he did better than me though) and we are OC alumni.

The walls were hard this week but I was surprised to get some answers that the contestants didn't see. Very excited that the first track in the music round was The Saw Doctors. My favourite band on my favourite TV show!
My best round is always the missing vowels.

We were on a few years ago. We gave a respectable but not stellar performance.

I have it on very good authority that OC will be back in its rightful place after UC in January
