I can't wait for season 6.

I'm desperate to know what Alison did. And im.desperately hoping this is all some part of a plot for penastucky to get revenge on her "boyfriend" although obviously through flash backs we know just how shitty she had it and it's not unrealistic to think she doesn't know any better.

There have to be consequences for the staff over all the youtube posting of the horrific treatment the inmates receive from the guards.

Agree piper and Alex are annoying they could totally make the show without them tbh.

I think Piper only has 3 months left on her sentence. I'd be over the moon if she wasn't in the next season.

I think it's the flashbacks rather than present day story that has me hooked.

I'd love to watch a montage of all the flashbacks so far.

Ah yes, didn't Frieda also say she cut off her husbands penis too?! I really should read a recap of all the series as I've forgotten a lot.

Piscatella did end up killing that guy, Red read it in his file and it's why he was moved to a minimum female prison.

This wasn't my favourite series but still watchable.

Does anyone else feel some of the flashbacks contradicted previous flashbacks from previous episodes? Thinking of Tasty, Diya and Janae in particular. Maybe I'm just remembering wrong.

Just finished & really enjoyed it. There were phases to the riot, day 1 was sort of shock & chaos, then there was the weird day where people were braiding pubes & making coffee almost like society was being established. Day 3 tiredness & hunger really took hold & it all fell apart.

So pleased Piscatella died how he did, that was almost as good as Vee's demise in S2!

Roll on summer 2018.

I agree. I think the Janae back-story was completely different. Wasn't she on track to an athletic scholarship? (My memory is horrible.)

Also, stupid question: has sixth season been confirmed?

I've seen on the other thread that will be two more seasons.

I was fascinated by all the strange new alliances that developed and I assume they will end now that the riot is over. No more Red and Flores.

But after getting revenge on the guy who raped the prisoner why did Piscatella end up such a raging psycho to everyone.

I wonder if Bailey will ever make a return?

I've not finished it yet but really want to know, how does it actually end? Currently at the part where red etc have Piscatella tied up in the swimming pool with a wooden board over his head and Black Cindy is trying to get Suzanne to take her meds.

Piscatella undoubtedly had issues before becoming a prison guard.
I think what happened at the men's prison is that he opened up/fell in love with the young guy. Then the other guy (the one he killed) said to him something to the effect that the young guy was basically using Piscatella. I think Piscatella believes he has been conned, he has mentioned that he preferred getting spat on or stabbed than people being nice to him as it's more honest. He then goes on to kill the inmate maybe not totally out of revenge but because he wants to be seen as strong, someone not to be messed with, anger and frustration at being conned.

Did anyone else like the brief look at Cindy's family showing her mum and daughter?

Her daughter stating I wish you weren't my mum not knowing that she isn't her mum, but her grandma and Cindy isnt her sister but her mum.

I loved this series. I cried a few times - the Poussey book memorial was beautiful.

MCC woman is going to be in for a while, because all the records are burned, so job way to show she wasn't an inmate.

I wonder how they will do the next series, as they were all being split up and sent all over.

I'd be surprised if the record burning is that much of a thing. There would be copies of files at another location and digital versions of everything, surely? They wouldn't be able to ship the inmates to different prisons if they had no way of knowing who was who.

Enjoyed the season but a few too many plot holes and implausibilities for me.

E.g. guard whose insulin was taken away and made sure to shout how much he needed his insulin. I presumed that was leading to some predictable medical crisis. But nope, never mentioned again, even long after anybody insulin-dependent would really have needed their insulin.

Newby to OITNB - I've just binge watched from season 1 & I'm gutted I've no more to watch. I love all the layers they peel away from all the characters. Poussey was one of my favourites, along with cindy & boo. And Gloria too. And tasty. Loved this. Every bit of it. I think my favourite line was about caputo, who keeps trying so hard & keeps on failing, when fig said 'your heart bleeds like only a vagina should' or something like that. I'm so glad I got Netflix

Hey Plectrum I was you** a year ago. What you need to do now is go back & watch it all again!

Argh! Someone told me that this was only half the season, with another 13 episodes being released next month - that's not true is it?? Do I have to wait another year??

I've enjoyed this one. I like the flashbacks. I wonder if Alison tried to frame the other wife for something to get her out of the picture? Also, I thought Nicky was in the pool at the end?
