Thought I'd better start a new one since the old one filled up!!

The storylines have got really bad and, as has been commented here lots, they rattle through them at such speed it all gets a bit disjointed.
They need some good slow-burners, some proper character development, and consistency. Maybe they need a new ward, like maternity or orthopedics.
And I do think a bit more medical accuracy wouldn't go amiss

MommaGee · 26/06/2017 11:45

Didn't Holy start off alot more in gyna / labor? Altho they can't afford to loose more current staff it would open up new characters and they could replace Mr T with someone bettee

LilaBard · 26/06/2017 15:43

Yes they were see more maternity/midwives at the start. Thinking of Mubbs etc (I miss him, the shit) and even as recent as Chrissies ex Owen.

YYY to Momma Dazzle and HH love in

MommaGee · 26/06/2017 15:45

I wanna see HH wake up bleary eye in bed. THEN THE LOOK OF RELAISATION.
He roles over...

And there's Momma Dazzle in the nakey and lying on his arm so he can't escape

SoupDragon · 26/06/2017 16:29

I wasn't a fan back then but wasn't it Keller, Darwin and the maternity ward?

spiderlight · 26/06/2017 19:04

Yes - and a paediatric ward. I remember a red-haired Scottish consultant and a lovely little boy with arthritis who desperately wanted her to adopt him because his mum had died and his dad didn't want him. Her husband had an affair with Chrissy I think? (Fairly safe bet - most of the male staff did!)

CraicMammy · 26/06/2017 20:11

Swap Casualty's Dylan with Raf

MissSueFlay · 26/06/2017 21:41

I remember the maternity ward with Owen - there was also a midwife (who died.... surprisingly)
Don't junior doctors IRL move hospitals every 6 months? That could be a way to get a constantly changing cast and some fast-moving storylines. Some medical students could inject (see what I did there Wink) some fun, and maybe get them away from Albie's....
There could be some PhD / research academics - that environment can always throw up some interesting scenarios...

I'd quite like HH to wake up and realise that Jasmine's death was just a dream Dallas/Bobby Ewing style.

MommaGee · 27/06/2017 01:05

Would to be Jac's dream

SweetestThing · 27/06/2017 10:13

I'm a recent convert to Holby City (started when I had to spend seven consecutive Tuesday evenings on my own in a hotel in Birmingham for work) and I really like it; much prefer it to Casualty. Charlie and his limited range of acting ability (quizzical look at someone or quizzical look into the middle distance) just makes me laugh,

i hope they can rescue their falling ratings, as I'd hate to see it be taken off air.

frazzled3ds · 27/06/2017 21:24

Am I the only one who really hopes that Jac finds out the truth about Fran's involvement in Jasmine's death?

GetHappy · 27/06/2017 22:01

No, I really want her too. I think Morveen will work it out but no one will believe her!

frazzled3ds · 27/06/2017 22:28

Hmm could be - Morven does have a rather terrier-like vibe about her. Fran is coming across as more and more bonkers, and has an amazing ability to suddenly appear wherever Jac is.....

ChoccyJules · 27/06/2017 22:36

Jac deffo had a bump showing at one point tonight, I reckon. I think she'll be critically injured by Fran in a couple of months, possibly protecting Morven when Fran realises she's on to her, and have to go off to recuperate. I don't think they'll kill her off though, they need her for the ratings.

Kigali04 · 27/06/2017 22:53

Choccyjules yes knew it Grin, she is defo pregnant. Saw it and was like Confused has she hasn't she. Phew

Kigali04 · 27/06/2017 22:57

Poor Jac Sad

MommaGee · 27/06/2017 23:17

She came so close to admitting it tonight. Please admit it on the room them ""fall"" off

SoupDragon · 28/06/2017 20:00

I don't think the actress is pregnant. She did the Muddy Dog challenge last month and didn't look pregnant then.

Having read up a bit about the actress (Rosie Marcel) I'd be quite surprised if she was pregnant, it sounds as though she had a rough time first time around and various health issues make having more children difficult/potentially dangerous for her.

Solo · 28/06/2017 21:42

Just caught up! Fran has to get caught! She just has to.

Took me a few minutes to remember who Donna was. Wasn't she the one who was a bit too close to Michael Spence? Think I stopped watching for several years after that.

Rachel0Greep · 28/06/2017 22:01

Just watching now. I haven't watched lately at all but saw the clip with HH and Jac so had to watch this episode.

Myotherprofile · 28/06/2017 22:09

Took me a few minutes to remember who Donna was.
Can you remind me? I thought she was Rick's daughter!

ToddlerIs2 · 28/06/2017 23:23

No that was Jess but they are very close

MissSueFlay · 29/06/2017 12:38

Caught up last night - that was quite an interesting episode... Definitely getting set up for Jac and/or Morven to do some digging into what happened. I predict a dramatic denouement on the roof in a couple of weeks' time. Jac will remember Jasmine's last words about the scar, that will clock it for her.
They'll probably get the whole thing done and dusted next week... Wink

Of COURSE Sasha's blind date was going to be gorgeous
Of COURSE Donna and Fletch are going to end up in the store-room

Can someone fill me in on what happened to Jac's daughter? Does she live with her father full time? (can't even remember his name!)
