On c4 tonight at 9 - thriller/drama about 'a teenager who is on the verge of acting out psychopathic desires' I've seen it advertised and am due something new to watch.
Anyone going to be watching with me?

Psycopathy is up to 50% inheritable. Sorry I can't do links but a quick Google will bring up studies. Of course being around someone abusive, which lots of psycopaths and the other cluster b personality types often are, will have its own issues too.

Thistle- I'm not sure if you read my post about the terrible uphill struggle that the innocent children of violent criminals face? If you did, and if you still think it's appropriate to have reiterated your earlier statistic re psychopathy being up to 50% inheritable, I do wonder what line of work you are in? Have you had many dealings with the children of murderers/rapists? Have you done much research into their experience of stigma, alienation and prejudice? I don't personally feel it's helpful to cite 'statistics' about personality traits' inheritability, when there's no proof for the genetic proportional component of any characteristic.
This was an early area of academic interest of mine, and it makes me sad to see the same kinds of misapprehension still occurring nearly 20 years later.

Just binged on this. It was a little unrealistic in places (he was volunteering because he wanted to be a doctor yet he seemed to have free run of the hospital like a staff member) but very atmospheric and tense. The lead actor was phenomenal. Daniel Mays is very good in everything he does. Lara Peake has a great career ahead of her, too. The vituperative grandmother was spot on.

Garai looks young but she is just about old enough to have a 16yo son I think. Same with Mays.

Jenny should have been honest with her son. Hiding something like that will never end well.
