Amazon Prime Video - anything interesting on it?!

Is there anything to watch on it?
I have a trial and I can't find anything that's really that I particularly want to watch

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Outlander Blush Grin

ChessieFL · 15/04/2017 19:03

I didn't continue with prime after the free trial - I couldn't find anything much I wanted to watch and £79 is a lot to pay for next day delivery!!

QueenMortifauxcado · 15/04/2017 19:06

Flesh and bone was good but quite dark. Mozart in the jungle is watchable. Preacher and Mr Robot are supposed to be quite good. Suppose it depends what sort of thing you like though?

GreyVelvet · 15/04/2017 19:06

I've read the Outlander books but is the TV series as good?

I haven't found as much on Prime as Netflix, but am half way through Z: The beginning of everything. It's about Zelda and F Scott Fitgerald's marriage. I think it's very good.

WonderMike · 15/04/2017 19:07

Better, in places, than the books.

GreyVelvet · 15/04/2017 19:08

I have a varying taste.
I like watching Louis Theroux documentaries, I watched the one on scientology,

I like things like the big bang theory, friends etc. In the past I've watched Desperate Housewives, Jane the Virgin, Without a Trace, Unreal, Suits.

I am also partial to bit of property porn like Grand Designs, Tiny House, Fixer Upper.

Basically a lot of American series generally.

Eehbaguhm · 15/04/2017 19:11

Vikings, The Walking Dead and Sneaky Pete have all been enjoyed here.

TooMinty · 15/04/2017 19:13

The Night Manager
Man in the High Castle

MumaPhotographer · 15/04/2017 19:14

We just got it and are confused and disappointed as it looked like there was loads on there but when you go to watch it you have to pay for it Hmm not impressed.

CBW · 15/04/2017 19:16

Search for stuff included in Prime. You should find TV and films.

StarryIllusion · 15/04/2017 19:16

I'm loving Lucifer atm not sure if it's your thing.

EllaHen · 15/04/2017 19:19

Life in Pieces is great - comedy.

Bosch - especially season 2.

The Bureau - French spy thing.

Dh loves Vikings.

I'm thinking about trying to get back into The Man in the High Castle as so many people rave about it.

I agree it's nowhere near as good as Netflix but I like the next day free delivery too much to give it up.

PickleSarnie · 15/04/2017 19:20

Outlander.....outlander......outlander.

And Life in Pieces and Man in the High Castle.

But mainly Outlander. Bloody brilliant.

Bobbins43 · 15/04/2017 19:22

Lucifer is great. And Parks and Recreation.

GreyVelvet · 15/04/2017 19:23

I think I'm going to try outlander

I'm watching a strange Australian documentary about an overweight child at the moment...

I much prefer the selection on Netflix, but recently got a free trial for Amazon Prime and they have some good films on there. Better films than series IMO (and Netflix is the other way around!)

marthastew · 15/04/2017 19:26

Black Sails.

Takeheed · 15/04/2017 19:28

Sneaky Pete!!! Dh and I just watched it in 2 days. It's great!!

overwroughtowl · 15/04/2017 19:29

The man in the high castle
Preacher
Mr Robot

Movie - cell 211 (Spanish, subtitled)

GreyVelvet · 15/04/2017 19:31

I second Outlander. Also like Halt and Catch Fire and Please Like Me.

claritytobeclear · 15/04/2017 19:43

Oh and how could I forget Vikings! My favourite but binge watched a while ago now.

StarlingMurderation · 15/04/2017 19:46

We really just have Prime for the shipping - for us, it pays for itself. The video streaming choice is pretty terrible, especially compared with Netflix. We'd happily pay say £59 per year for just the one day delivery, without the streaming, but sadly that's not an option.
