I'm just hoping they'll have someone as nice as Ben Fogle on it this time around. I'm now addicted to Animal Park!

Hmmm - undecided. I was a definite until I read an interview with the producer a few days ago. Instead of making it an interesting show about human differences/relationships/conflicts/communication etc (as it seemed last time), it sounds a different approach this time blatantly aimed at securing ratings through controversy/conflict.

The producer was gleefully describing the dire conditions, the lack of food, the awful sanitation, and the oddball/misfit participants (almost guaranteed to fall out spectacularly) in an offputting way. It sounds like he's aiming for the show to be a combination of all the reality telly that has dominated our screens/ratings in the years since we saw everyone on Taransay.

I'm not sure I'm up for Big Brother style manipulation, or I'm a Celebrity types of challenges or Love Island sorts of adventures.....but, I'll probably eventually get sucked in.

What WAS going on with that sea urchin? And how could the crew stand by and let it happen? That was going too far IMO. If you're going to kill a creature at least know what you're doing FGS!

They are on an island near New Zealand. I met someone in the gym today who had actually visited the very same island and she said it was all a sham... all the inhabitants have generators and it is far from isolated.

They are on one part of the island that is slightly more isolated than the other parts of it which has loads of people living on it. Apparently the islanders are highly amused!

So, what's the verdict? Is it going to become regular viewing for you?

Well I will give it another go on Sunday - but it's not remotely like the last one - deffo a Big Bro type - "throw odd people together & see what happens"
