Me eight!

Optimist1 · 21/02/2017 22:39

That was so good - the magnification of a real bill-wrangling situation taken to the nth degree, with a touch of Tales of the Unexpected showing my age there, old gimmer that I am at the end!

I liked that. I thought something was up but no idea what.

brucebogtrotter · 21/02/2017 22:48

I really enjoyed it. Couldn't see what was going to happen at all. I just love the anthology format and haven't seen a dud one yet. Brilliant.

Larainette · 21/02/2017 23:56

Loved it. The Christmas special was so creepy, left me really Shock so I'm glad this one wasn't in the same vein. Still brilliant though.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 22/02/2017 00:10

Really enjoyed it but slightly confused by the last scene Confused

NormaSmuff · 22/02/2017 07:16

love this!

Lottapianos · 22/02/2017 20:53

I really enjoyed it too. They are such great writers, mixing hilarity and horror. The tension was intense all the way through. Philip Glenister is proper dishy too Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/02/2017 16:25

Fab series

SuperFlyHigh · 25/02/2017 17:26

Lotta I enjoyed this (late to the party!), I thought Philip Glenister's acting was great too, but then I also thought too, he's a bit of alright isn't he?! Wink

CantstandmLMs · 25/02/2017 17:32

They are so clever but due to stuff going on with me my attention span wasn't quite there Blush anyone care to explain it in general and what the ending meant?

I love this show and everything the League guys have ever done. Makes me want to watch the League again, especially S3 as that was so cleverly done.

MsJuniper · 25/02/2017 20:19

It was great although I have never seen men fight over who pays the bill, only women ("no, put your purse away! You got me that coffee") - it's an observation I've made so many times over the years as the "waitress" in that situation. But perhaps the beta-male macho posturing and knife section wouldn't have been as convincing... (also the writers get to choose the juiciest parts)

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2017 11:08

Just seen e1

Sorry I thought was boring to argue over the bill for 30m :(

No way a waitress would pay a bill to get rid of customers

Tho didn't expect that ending !!! Best part

Anyone see this week's? (About the professor who compiled crosswords). I thought it was unpleasantly misogynistic, as well as a bit dull. I like Alexandra Roach though. Disappointing.

GirlOverboard · 01/03/2017 01:20

I thought tonight's episode was incredible. Clever and gripping, the best thing I've seen on TV for a long time. I guessed there was more to the girl than met the eye, but I was completely blindsided by the later twists. Genius writing from Pemberton and Shearsmith.

Optimist1 · 01/03/2017 07:20

I missed it! Will catch up and be back to comment. Smile

Elendon · 01/03/2017 07:22

It was clearly meant to be unpleasant and misogynistic. I thought it was excellent.

CantstandmLMs · 01/03/2017 07:45

Thought it was smart but so unpleasant lol

IvyLeagueUnderTheSea · 01/03/2017 07:47

I thought it was too clever for its own good. Too many twists.

Optimist1 · 01/03/2017 10:27

Like Ivy I thought it was trying a bit too hard to be clever. Not much subtlety to this one.
