I am shocked by the amount of information that JJ revealed on his first meeting with Mrs Tembe's work mates. There's no need for them to have all that on the first meeting. He sounds well dodgy, but I don't think he's out to fleece her. I do hope not anyway.

He is holding down a respectable job as porter, he had a bad wild time when younger but in prison read lots of books and educated himself (my aunt used to teach prisoners in high sec prison)

I think it is the juxtaposition of the clothes and his bad background with the opera and Bronte appreciation that makes his character very interesting, like don't judge a book by its cover etc

I agree with you RTK. I think Gobby will ask Gobbtplod to check him out. If he does I hope he gets done for abusing his position. Its not long since Eeesh committed perjury when her mum was stealing. They could get rid of a few of them for these types of things.
