I just wish all women on telly didn't have to constantly appear to be auditioning for some kind of come dancing programme. What's wrong with reading the news?

Hmm, I think she started off a bit more cerebral, but then she (or some daft producer) decided she has to fill la Kerplunky's thigh-high boots and get all tarty and vacant - she'll be on a reality show next.

I agree snowleopard, she's been corrupted by the desperation for fame that they all seem to succomb to. Shame - she used to look like an attractive woman doing her job rather than a desperate woman not concentrating on her job but on fallin out of her top and wishing she was dancing on ice. sigh.

I like her. I find the other one, Georgina something, irritating. She never looks very comfortable on the sofa and keeps whipping her round to look at the copresenetr and then back at the camera.

I just want to yell at her to sit still.

And she used to have quite funky, kind of spiky hair and now it's morphed into "newsbabe" hair. Depressing.

Actually no one is more depressing than the utterly gorgeous French newsreader : Melissa Theuriau. Check her out on google images - she is unbelievably beautiful. My husband almost keels over at the sight of her! And when she speaks French too! Maybe she has driven all our newsreaders demented with jealousy and wannabeness.

Katie - she looks like a rather severe grammar school girl, with those heavy specs and a fixed glaze in the eye. And she DID look so uncomfortable in Hollywood. Nice dress though, but probably better on someone else.

Oh I like Kirsty! But she is sometimes a little over enthusiastic. But she's not so desperate to fall out of her shirt is she? Maybe I'm more tolerant - she's certainly star struck as hell - witness the madonna interview oh kirsty you should be ashamed of yourself. But I like you!

I love Kirsty Wark. No amount of overflowing bazoomas or newsbabe style (were she ever to achieve it) could overshadow her innate bluestocking.
