I've tried lots of the most popular series and just can't get into them. I don't like supernatural stuff which quite a lot seems to be.

I've enjoyed -
Line of duty
Sherlock
Detectorists
Legend of barney Thomson
Hunt for the wilder people

Any suggestions?

Stranger Things, of course!!!
Sens8 is amazing (VERY nsfw/dc)

NotJanine · 01/02/2017 19:33

They're both supernatural / Sci fi aren't they? I did try stranger things.

I didn't think I would like Merlin but got absolutely hooked on it.

Weeds is quite good too.

iklboo · 01/02/2017 19:43

Lemony Snickett - the new series with Neil Patrick Harris.

NotJanine · 01/02/2017 20:08

Ooh I've never watched spooks, think I'll give that a go.

I watched the first episode of the Crown. It was OK but I didn't feel compelled to watch any more.

Did you try house of cards OP? Even my totally unpolitical DP loved it!

Ellieboolou27 · 01/02/2017 20:14

Narcos - brilliant
Power - addictive
Breaking bad - didn't think I'd like it but stuck with the first few episodes and bloody love it

Stranger things is shit IMO - unless you are a 12 year old Grin

Homeland is excellent too

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 01/02/2017 20:18

FlopIsMyParentingGuru · 01/02/2017 20:43

That should be Grace and Frankie sorry!

SunsetBeetch · 04/02/2017 12:51

Oh and I'm really enjoying Bates Motel at the moment, and I didn't think I would. I'm binge watching this at the moment as Netflix are removing seasons one and two in March. It works surprisingly well in setting up the film.

It took me a while to realise where I recognised 'Norma Bates' from (the Conjuring films).

Pearly blinders - it's got Tom hardy in it. Need I say more.
Making a murderer - so many twists and turns

Lewiscarrera · 06/02/2017 08:51

Sorry -peaKY blinders

MsSampson · 06/02/2017 08:58

If you are after some light relief away from the current state of the world I can highly recommend Crazy ex girlfriend. I thought it sounded rubbish, but it was highly recommended to me, and it's very funny.

Also Good Wife, house of cards, Orange is the new black, homeland, and Gilmore girls.

I feel quite jealous of anyone who hasn't watched all of these. I feel a bit like I've got to the end of all the stuff I really really want to watch on Netflix
