Hello, I'm quite enjoying the programme but would enjoy it even more if I knew what was happening and how it is going to end!

I thought it might be worth seeing if there are other people like me, or who have read the book, and would like a thread were nothing is out of bounds.

If it's not for you, please don't read on!

I have trawled the internet to find out the ending / twist and can't seem to find it.

Is anyone willing to start us off by telling me the ending?

Does anyone else prefer something when they know the outcome? I HATE surprises!

Just me then?

OP posts:
Str4ngedaysindeed · 30/01/2017 15:35

Are you sure you want to know??

MoreThanUs · 30/01/2017 15:42

I am so so sure! Please tell me!

clairethewitch70 · 30/01/2017 15:43

I want to know too!

OlennasWimple · 30/01/2017 15:43

Really? AFAIR the twist in the book is right at the very end, so I'm presuming that the programme will show it late on too...

MoreThanUs · 30/01/2017 15:50

Yes, as I said in t OP, I enjoy things so much more if I know what is going to happen. It's just that I hate the suspense of not knowing. There must be loads of people like me, and I realised the other thread is not for us, as we want to know!

lovecamping · 30/01/2017 15:56

I really want to know too!

Thisrabbitthatrabbit · 30/01/2017 15:56

I'm interested.

keeplooking · 30/01/2017 15:57

We were watching last night , and dh thinks that Mark has gone in and killed the work colleague/rapist, but is going to make it appear that Yvonne has done it (dh doesn't trust Mark!). Close, or not?

MoreThanUs · 30/01/2017 15:58

Viva la revolution!

OP posts:
Thisrabbitthatrabbit · 30/01/2017 16:00

Someone Pm'd me that Mark kills George and they are both put on trial.

absolutelynotfabulous · 30/01/2017 16:02

Um.......maybe....Wink.

ShoutOutToMyEx · 30/01/2017 16:05

I'm desperate to know as well!

Ulysses · 30/01/2017 16:06

Not close keeplooking.

I can't just come out and say what the twist was, but it wasn't a particularly OMG moment for me. What I would say though, that it's worth bearing in mind, all of this is from her point of view and she's maybe not the most reliable narrator...

MoreThanUs · 30/01/2017 16:10

Tell us!! That's the point of the thread! I've made it clear in the title and in the Op that it's for people who want to know.

Come on - people are usually desperate to give spoilers for things. I thought we'd be flooded!

OP posts:
MoreThanUs · 30/01/2017 16:11

Is she found guilty? Is he?

OP posts:
Thisrabbitthatrabbit · 30/01/2017 16:15

The person who PMd me couldn't remember. Somebody must want to spoil it for us??

MoreThanUs · 30/01/2017 16:23

I think if you're not wired like this you don't get it.

Please tell us - it really won't spoil it for us!

OP posts:
HumpHumpWhale · 30/01/2017 16:28

My memory is a bit hazy, but... He kills the rapist. (Or nearly kills? Can't quite remember)
She's accused of being complicit.
He's not a spy or whatever he's implied he is, he's a security guard.
She basically claims to have had no idea he was so violent.
He says she didn't know he was going to do it.
She gets off.
It turns out she asked him to do it.

absolutelynotfabulous · 30/01/2017 16:29

I didn't think there was a particularly notable twist, either. I thought the ending was quite...predictable. There's lots of description of the court case in the book. Maybe you should like, actually read it?Grin.

MoreThanUs · 30/01/2017 16:29

Is that the twist - that she ordered the killing?

OP posts:
MoreThanUs · 30/01/2017 16:30

Meant to say, thank you!

OP posts:
Thisrabbitthatrabbit · 30/01/2017 16:31

Ooh I actually quite like that! A bit devious. I'll have to keep watching now.

absolutelynotfabulous · 30/01/2017 16:32

X-post with hump. Yes, that's about it. Smile.

The bit in Court was good in the book. Especially the bit where they picked up on the "I'm cheap and easy" comment (from ep. 1).

Popskipiekin · 30/01/2017 16:37

MoreThanUs you are my people! I much much Much prefer watching things when I know the ending, indeed, a full and detailed plot outline is even better Grin Any time we watch a film I'm straight onto Wikipedia to check out the full plot first. DH can't understand it. Funnily enough, I'm ok going to see new films at the cinema without knowing what's going to happen - it's as if, there, I'm captive and I have to just let what will be, be; but a film or tv series at home, I just have to know.
