Had to laugh with Toadie in London - classic understatement - I wouldn't want to come way this way and not be able to find them.

Just saw Neighbours for the first time in yonks. Can someone update me on the Toadie story (don't know then newer characters).

Why is he in Lomdon?! Who,is Sonia? Dee? Who's child was Steph babysitting at the end?

Toadie is in London because he's trying to track down FakeDee, i.e. A woman who came to Erinsborough claiming to be his wife Dee, who went missing on their wedding day 13 years ago, presumed dead. The fact that she is being played by the same actress who was the Real Dee 13 years ago is leading many people down all sorts of rabbit holes trying to decide if she is actually RealDee who thinks she is FakeDee but that's a whole other theory. Lots of ideas up thread ^^
So FakeDee has tricked Toadie into giving her a large sum of money, which Toadie thought was going to be used for his daughter's school fees, because Willow wanted to go to RAF school. Well, his daughter being FakeDee's daughter Willow, who she claimed was Toadie's, although we know that Willow is 15 and pretending to be 13, so we know she isn't actually Toadie's. Willow left Toadie a note saying sorry after they scarpered to London. So he's gone to track them down.

The little girl Steph was babysitting is Toadie and Sonya's daughter Nell.

Sonya is Toadie's wife, she is currently pregnant with a surrogate baby she is having for Mark Brennan, who was until recently in a relationship with Steph. Mark and Steph were going to raise the baby together but then Steph said she didn't want Sonya to go ahead with the surrogacy, right before Sonya found out she had fallen pregnant on their first go at insemination.

Flippin' eck that's complicated.

So Toadie is chasing a possible ex-fiancé the other side of the world, whilst his current wife is pregnant as a surrogate for Steph, who,didn't Toadie once have a relationship with?

Why doesn't Toady just hang out in the hotel lobby until Dee and Willow come back?

As if Mark would sleep on the same bed as Sonya! That was ridiculous even for Neighbours! And Nell sitting there all on her own when Toadie rang......

Poor Nell, Toadie just hung up on her once he heard that Mark was in bed with Sonya.
Also, Piper really seems to be over acting lately and shouting all her lines. It's getting annoying. Love how both Toadie and Karl can just drop their jobs at a moments notice to fly over to London. That is all.

I thought that too - you don't just put the phone down on your child!

Better hope no one in Erinsborough gets ill with Dr Karl away. Though I guess Xanthe must be close to completing her medical degree soon.

I haven't seen today's. Piper was a really good actress but since the new year they are really taking away the progress her character made.

Why was Mark in bed with Sonya? Surely if she's feeling ill it will be far easier to sleep if she has the bed to herself.

And Tyler has to get an apprentice, so paving the way for Ben to become mechanic, not doctor!

Are Sonya's slight temperature and tiredness going to be something sinister? If so, what will happen while the only doctor in Erinsborough has gone off on a rescue mission?!

David can finally reach his full potential and save Sonya.

If I was Sonya I'd kill Mark. Imagine if she gets restless and strips. You wanna play nurse, sleep on the sofa or in stephs bed and she crash with Newly-Tattle-Tail

Did anyone else think blimey that is a lot of red phone boxes, near to each other but not next to each other iyswim, in 1st scene in London?

I was taken aback by the red phone boxes (one of which seemed to be at least a yard from the edge and well-placed to impede pedestrians)
and the taxi stopping quite a long way from Buck HOuse, Toadie shouting 'wait here' and looking over and with super eyesight noticing that Willow is not there jumps back in the cab.

Nell is a good little actress. I know it's prob not actual acting and just being her because she's been there all her life but she's still good.

And yes, who is mark in there? Why not Steph? Why anyone at all? I doubt that's what Karl meant...
