Now Toadie needs to ditch Sonya and follow his destiny...

Uhm its hard tho then isn't it? Do you push another woman to have an abortion? Do you expect her to raise it instead? Do you step up and think what would we do if it was ours

MiddleClassProblem · 14/02/2017 14:44

Well it was all Sonya's idea in the first place really. Steph an Mark found out the couldn't live together as in she couldn't stand living with him when she moved in for about two weeks. It's all bs. We (the thread) never understood why the surrogacy agency were fine with any of this! Just to clarify they still don't live together, only discussed it once they had started the surrogacy process. They've not been together a year. It's all crazy.

ASpiderInTheManger · 14/02/2017 16:28

Is anyone else thinking that dee actually is dee, but she doesn't know it? Haven't seen today's bit was thinking this yesterday when they were at the wedding venue. She seemed to getting quite emotional when toadie was talking about the wedding, or maybe it was all part of the act.
I'm so annoyed with neighbours. They've missed what could've been a really good storyline. Her being the real dee would've added so much drama to the storyline there was no need to have a fake dee and child.

MakeItStopNeville · 14/02/2017 16:28

I forget, how come Sonja and Brennan are so close in the first place? Are they supposed to have known each other before? Did they meet in rehab where Brennan was getting help with his addiction to getting engaged?

MakeItStopNeville · 14/02/2017 16:29

And why is he always with women he clearly doesn't seem to like very much, other than the convenience of them living next door?!

Katz · 14/02/2017 18:21

Spider - I posted my Dee theory above - I'm still hoping Dee is Dee or else this is a trusty nasty storyline. Poor Toadie.

I still don't get why Mark and Steph and Sonya rushed into the baby thing - that makes less sense than the Dee back from the dead one!

MiddleClassProblem · 14/02/2017 18:22

I'm another Dee believer!

MiddleClassProblem · 14/02/2017 18:31

Also for those who only came back when Dee came, Sonya pushed the turkey baster surrogacy after they couldn't do it through ivf using Steph's egg. Steph said something like she needed time to think about it and Sonya said that she was ovulating so they had to get on with it (not sure why another month was such an issue when it's a a massive decision!).

Steph is just a new love addict though.

MakeItStopNeville · 14/02/2017 18:53

But if Dee is Dee, how come she has a 15 year old daughter?!

MiddleClassProblem · 14/02/2017 19:16

I don't think she's her bio daughter

Katz · 14/02/2017 19:29

Step daughter from at an age so that Willow can't remember.

CurbsideProphet · 14/02/2017 19:30

Sonya is such a martyr and hypocrite. She was a single parent and Toadie adopted Callum as a single parent. She and Mark will have a "moment", then Dee and Toadie will have a "moment". They will all agonise over it.

MakeIt Grin How many times has Brennan proposed? 3 times?!

AGnu · 14/02/2017 19:42

I'm struggling to be a true Dee-liever. I so want it to be true but I'm concerned the writers are just messing with us!

Mark is a replacement Lucas for Sonya. Toadie's never been enough for her, she's always got to have another man to bluster at. She was only interested in Toadie because she wanted Callum & fell in love with the idea of being a family. If they hadn't had Nell they'd have split after Callum left. Happy valentine's day! Grin

MommaGee · 14/02/2017 19:44

Willow is soooo gonna let something slip to Ben I reckon who'll tell Susan who knew all along

RTKangaMummy · 14/02/2017 19:46

He sort of did question her today about being in year 10 rather than 7

AnneEyhtMeyer · 14/02/2017 19:52

I am a Deeliever, and if the writers let me down I don't know if I will be able to forgive them. I'm still not happy with them for Bouncer's dream.

Mark has always been a disappointment. Anyone who fancied Kate was always going to be an idiot.

MommaGee · 14/02/2017 19:56

That's why I think it RT. Think she's gonna let slip. Can't believe BaDee is scamming money :(
Regsrless of who snpgs Mark next I can't see Sonya and Toadie surviving BaDee

ASpiderInTheManger · 14/02/2017 20:21

Victoria is really annoying me. She knows that Steph is going through something huge and that she suffers with mental health issues, so what does she do? Pursue her via text/secret meet ups/drunken kisses/flirty looks. If she really cared about Steph surely she'd back off a bit, she's just complicating things even more!
Sonya is another one who is reeeaaalllyyy annoying me, I hate her holier than thou attitude toward Steph. I can't understand why Steph wants to live there still, surely she could live at the hotel!?

MiddleClassProblem · 14/02/2017 20:41

I think Toadie and Sonya might be headed in a Susan and Karl direction. They break up, a year or so later they get back togwthef but Toadie will be in it forever

TheSecretMrsFairbrother · 14/02/2017 21:17

Everyone needs therapy.

Mark desperately wants a wife and children but keeps choosing women who don't want that and tries to mould them to his ideal rather than accepting their wants and needs.

He's a classic self sabotager.

*Please note, I am not a therapist and have never played one on TV

Rrross1ges · 14/02/2017 22:37

Brennan is only allowed to date women who live on his street so all bets are off on that score

He'll be engaged to Sheila Canning by Easter.

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 14/02/2017 23:28

It is all pretty annoying at the moment. None of it seems to make sense. The surrogacy storyline is completely barking even by Neighbours standards. The Dee thing is weird. Surely the Rebecchis might be a bit more wary of strangers coming into their lives saying that they are relatives? With their history you'd think they would trust no one. I mean even between Toady and Sonya, their relationship started whilst she was pretending not to be Callum's mother and got derailed when Toady pretended that he was the father of Steph's baby and was going to marry her.

Then there was Callum's biological father who pretended he had become nice but turned out to still be a violent stalky nutcase. Then there was Sonya's fake Uncle Walter. Then there was real uncle Walter that turned out to be a fake uncle but a real dad. Then he turned out to have a surprise daughter with a medical emergency. One of those Neighbours health problems that can only be cured in America.

Do they suspect anyone or question anything? No. They invite ex pretend-fiancé to live with them, and she then goes into business with the man that scammed her mum and cause her mental health problems to relapse and buys a motel which appears only to be inhabited by people who haven't got anywhere else to stay and can't therefore be paying the market rate surely!! And they don't seem to think that it's a bit weird that she'd rather live in their spare room than one of the many she owns, or indeed with the man she's having a baby with via the uterus of her ex-fake-fiancé' current wife.

I think Aaron should jack in his weird non-job as 'brand consultant' and set himself up as a fake relative spotter or open his own DNA testing lab.

Seems as though the Udagawa-Tanaka saga is going to require some unpicking, and Brad and his never ending supply of offspring will ensure that he's always gainfully employed. Surely that's got to be better than tweeting about Wombats.

Aaaand breathe.

MakeItStopNeville · 14/02/2017 23:58

And having read that, I'm now wondering once again why I've spent the last 30 years watching this shit!! Grin

MiddleClassProblem · 15/02/2017 00:08

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster that post was amazing.

Neighbours is naff but that's why I love it. I used to watch eastenders but it's so heavy and depressing and they have to make it all realistic as poss despite the murder rate or people moan about it and write into points of view. Neighbours is like a group of 11 year olds have written their school play. It doesn't entirely make sense but it's easy and a bit endearing. A little infuriating but novelty value.

Linnet · 15/02/2017 00:33

Paige and Sonya both found out they were pregnant at the same time, at Brad and Lauren's wedding. Now Paige has this very obvious bump but Sonya doesn't seem to show at all. they must surely be roughly the same amount of weeks along, there surely can't be much between them.
