I watched the first episode this evening, an enjoyable bit of froth noir with Iain Glen, Emilia Fox and Dawn French playing very against type as a foxy ex wife. Has anyone else seen it?

I did chuckle when Gina got the hotel after Sam had told her that Leo had left her everything.

They ALL piss me off! They are getting their come uppances though. diddl, the skinny daughter had just commented to the thinks he's God's gift son about money. Now she has more than him.

Felt a bit let down but so many good actors/actresses in it I feel compelled to watch

I had an idea that perhaps Iain Glenn wasn't actually the father of his son, which is why it's not biological incest..... It's all a tad boring though now really.

Yes it's incest if they have a parent in common. I reckon he's not her dad though.

I'm still enjoying it. I don't really understand when people say that no one is likeable, in tv series, books etc, quite often they're not meant to be.

Well it is a bit too much as as far as they are concerned atm, they have the same father!

Might explain the comment that the daughter heard the father make re "there, I took her" or some such, if he had an idea.

Somehow, despite watching from the beginning, I'd missed the fact that both his children were the same age, 18. No wonder the Dawn French character is so vengeful!

midsomermurdress I rarely find characters wholly unlikable though, they usually have some redeeming features. The one I like most in this is the skinny daughter others find irritating.

I thought that the sister was older.

But even if she is he must have left when the girl was very young.

It was filmed in our village, which looks amazing on the TV! In reality is is often grey and misty from the tamar river!
The restaurant is a local private house called Pentille Castle which is a local wedding venue. The other locations were cargreen, calstock along the tamar valley.

Watching second episode now and I'm enjoying it as much for the scenery and sun as anything else

I really enjoyed this mini series. The characters were 3 dimensional. They left it wide open for a second.
