I think lucy is getting pretty pissed off with the missions now as she hasn't got her sister back. Think she's had enough of being the good one all the time and had more of a 'f* it' attitude this week.

I thought that Lucy shot JJ for two reasons: firstly Wyatt was at risk of being shot by the Marshall and she knew he wouldn't back down and secondly she said at the start that JJ was shot in the back
As Flynn had already changed that at the start of the episode when he shot JJ, Lucy restored the facts. Do I think normal Lucy would do that? Probably not but she's pretty weary now

They know when and where he jumps to do why the he'll don't they jump half a day ahead and get the jump on him??

Did anyone else notice that the Lone Rangers house is Zelena's house from once upon a time?

Airing in America at the moment, a bit ahead of the UK. New season airs here on 4th April. I'll post again on the 4th

Anyone watch last night?

I watched it last night and enjoyed it. It was good to see the team established now that we've sorted out quite clearly who the good guys and the bad guys are and it looks, from the flashes into various eras near the end, that this season they will be venturing into different times to hunt for particular people rather than chasing Flynn around everywhere. I liked the inclusion of Marie Curie and the information about her mobile X-ray machines. I'd read about them in a novel by Jed Rubenfeld called The Death Instinct, so it was nice to see it acknowledged here. As for Lucy and Wyatt, well...I think they won't be spending a whole series hedging around each other if last night was anything to judge by. All in all, I thought it was a good opener.

Just watching S1 ep1 so will rejoin when I've caught up.

Enjoying it already as I love Outlander and who didn't like a bit of Quantum Leap back in the day?

Rhubarb - the Hindenburg episode short version is it meant Lucy's mother never met Lucy's sisters father. Hence the sister not born AND Lucy's mother never took up smoking and thus didn't get a (presumably) smoking related/triggered cancer.

Re quantum leap - if ANYONE knows a way I can watch this online I'd be SO grateful. Loved that show! But seemingly only available on DVD and I don't even own a player any more.

Well, I had to repeat that one to myself several times Graphista before I could get my head round it because my brain is frankly addled by all the twists and turns and changes by now but I think it is something like that. After the Hindenburg there was some sort of change because of someone surviving who wasn't supposed to which prevented Lucy's sister being born and your suggestion sounds feasible in respect of her mother.

I'm still watching but as I already said, I don't exactly follow the logic I just like seeing where they go next and who they bump into, a few little history nuggets, 21st century in-jokes and the Lucy/Wyatt relationship. It's a bit of escapist fun for an hour.

Yea it's fun and I disappear down a history/wiki hole each episode too

Lucy being an expert historian not knowing her own great great grandfathers name? Doubtful she'd surely at least know her grandmothers maiden surname

Yes, that's true about Nicholas Keynes (not sure how you spell it). She didn't appear to know the name when it was mentioned.

Actually, I had a debate with DH about how the WW1 soldier with the iphone would manage to recharge it all the time. I know they had electricity but it would have needed some sort of very clever adapter device to cope with the currrents/sockets in those days. DH suggested they had one of those wind up chargers like the wind-up radios. Am I overthinking this?

I'm enjoying the escapism of the new season but to be honest I have lost the thread of what history has changed in their personal lives and why now. I do like the delving in to the historical occurrences and do then go off and read a bit of background on them.

You could say it's educational escapism.

We're not meant to know what's changed in their personal history...yet hints of a big reveal either mid season or end of season

I'm joining in....!... Watched the whole first series on Netflix and now on season 2... And trying desperately not to read spoilers as the finale was last night!... They still don't know whether it'll be renewed or not! There's a huge twitter campaign trying to get a renewal!... Kelly Clarkson and William shatner are huge fans!

I hope it gets renewed! I love the history... The intrigue... And I have to confess the wyatt and Lucy relationship!.... Or Lyatt as its been called in the fandom... Whereas Garcy?... No no!
