That hotel is lush. They must love the publicity.

Roussette · 08/12/2016 09:03

I didn't watch it. I think I'd had enough!

I never watch the coming out show, it always used to be the same clips of them going into their hotel rooms over and over, jumping on a bed and shutting the door, with a staged scene of the speech and no other guests apart from them!

CondensedMilkSarnies · 08/12/2016 10:48

I've just seen Martin on This Morning and apparently Larry apologised for treating Martin so badly .

TobleroneBoo · 08/12/2016 14:46

Sam is stunning, but she looked amazing with no make up!

On the other hand, Carol looks a million times better with no make up. She seems
To do something around her eyes which makes her look older

MrsJayy · 08/12/2016 14:59

Scarlett looks much better without fake tan but then i think most people look better without fake Tan

MrsPeelyWally · 08/12/2016 16:23

ust watched it...why was Larry all over Martins wife and kids

Perhaps because he didn't want it known that the lady who met him out of the jungle is the lady he's left his wife and children for. Not that it worked because I believe Martin let the cat out of the bag on TV this morning.

MrsJayy · 08/12/2016 16:26

I think it was because he didnt want the kids to think he was nasty he was so over enthusiastic the kids looked scared and Martins wife looked raging. Was Larrys "friend" his new girlfriend

CondensedMilkSarnies · 08/12/2016 16:29

MrsPeely was that on This Morning ? I must have missed that bit .

MrsPeelyWally · 08/12/2016 16:30

Ah ok, I can understand that.

And yes, the 'friend' is his new girlfriend. She's French and the great granddaughter? of the actor Victor Hugo. Seemingly she is a close neighbour too him and his family in France which is where they spend a lot of time - he speak fluent French.

MrsPeelyWally · 08/12/2016 16:31

Yes, it was on This Morning, not that I saw it. Ive just read the articles in the press since then.

Boopsy there are quite a few comments online about him being the master of passive aggressive and that he knew his comment was well aimed and pay back to Larry - and who can blame him?

228agreenend · 08/12/2016 20:31

I feel really sorry for Larry's children by his ex girlfriend. It seems that he has only just split from his ex-gf - the report I read said they were together at a charity event in October, and then he seen on tv carrying on as normal. And then Larry's new gf publically greets him on the bridge.

Maybe the media have got it wrong, and she is only a friend, but if not, that's pretty horrible for his kids (and I know you can't believe everything you read in the press).

JAPAB · 09/12/2016 12:37

Bit of a humdrum series this year. But then last year was always going to be a tough act to follow with all the Lady C malarkey.

JaneJeffer · 09/12/2016 12:48

Wayne and Frankie made me laugh with her giving out to him about talking about their sex life on TV and her watching that with her mum. Then Wayne looking for chocolate in the mini bar and she had eaten it all. And him asking her to get him tea and her replying "oh it's great to have you back" really sarcastically Grin

Adam was so sweet crying about missing Teddy and his girlfriend saying he'd see him in 15 minutes. Teddy is gorgeous. I loved the "squishy" kiss. Aww.

Martin's wife seems lovely and he was so happy to see his children.

The coming out show made me all soppy!

EvansOvalPies · 09/12/2016 13:02

I wish the coming out show could have shown Larry's reaction to the bad press he was receiving for being so mean to Martin. I wonder if this is why he apologised to Martin (I haven't seen the apology, although have looked for it). He was OTT with Martin's children, and agree that Martins wife looked as though she wanted to throttle him (I would have wanted to as well)!

The scene where Martin was hugging his children (and Adam too) did bring tears to my eyes. I didn't mind Adam - he was a bit mischievous but not nasty, and up for a laugh. I, too, chuckled at Frankie telling Wayne off about giving details and eating all the chocolate. He looked a bit gaunt when he left, so could probably have done with it (although he probably wouldn't have had room in his tummy after all those biscuits) Xmas Grin

The coming-out show was a bit lame, though. I usually enjoy that. In fact, I usually enjoy the whole programme, but this year, not so much. Not sure I'll bother to watch next year. A PP commented that Ant and Dec appear to have lost a bit of their sparkle - agree with that too. The whole thing was Meh!

BrieAndChilli · 09/12/2016 13:06

Me too JaneJeffer
You could tell they were genuinely upset/happy to see thier kids, it wasn't done for appearances.

Thought Larrys talking to Martins kids was a complete act though! Reckon his 'friend' had told him how he came across and he was trying to win back some positive headlines!
I don't judge Martin for letting slip about Larrys friend especially if Larry had been even worse than what was shown.
Martin really grew on me as the show went on. He's a bit of a bull on a China shop. It means well

I really liked this series, and actually the majority of people would be like this (as opposed to other years when celebs play up to the cameras and create lots of drama). It reminded me of when I spent the summer working in a kids camp in Italy, we were all away from our family's and had a great time, sleeping on tents and being silly - remember being bored one day and me and someone else putting on every single item of clothing we owned. Wouldn't dream of doing it in the 'real' world!

BeckerLleytonNever · 09/12/2016 16:08

still think james and ola is a showmance, she didn't need to read his letter out at his insistance and then being shown in the bath together.

Frankie I though is full of herself, when she said to wayne that ladies are telling her shes very lucky (to have him) and she said to them, 'no. hes the lucky one'.

another camera lover same as James.

Larry was so false. Martin and his kids and wife were lovely, and how cute is Adams son?
