Speaking of Max, why did he sell his house when two of his children live on the Square? I get that he thought Lauren had emigrated, but Abi was still around. Even if his relationship with Abi had broken down, he wouldn't have left her homeless'. If it was mortgaged and he couldn't pay while he was in prison, he would still retain his house for a set time depending on its value surely even though he might owe backpayments when he was released. Surely the house wasn't repossed while he was in prison? Am I overthinking this entirely?

I think not only are the storylines non existent but it is so slow moving. I'm hankering after the days when Jay was arrested and in court on practically the same day!!! Now Fot's doctors appointment has been stretched out for weeks. Surely there is a happy medium?

Not sure, but Max had to sell up i think and Abi moved to Dots. Its hazy,but maybe he needed the money for solicitor fees? I recall jack all happy he had bought it, making his bro homeless in the meantime!

Donna should just be at home relaxing! Can understand she needs help to put stock out/away or has breaks but every other stall is run by one person. Seems silly if she can't pay rent to pay 2 wages. When she could even get another job covering another stall and get 2 incomes.

I think the scriptwriters wanted the cake mixing scene to gently take viewers down the path of musing on Stacey's and Jane's respective wishes. Very arty farty.

The bins also represent the way our lives can get out of control if we dont care for the planet or our own wellbeing. The padlock is Carmel 'taking back control' resisting outside influences and making sure she can account for her own recycling on her own terms.
Either that or the writers have simply run out of ideas.
