Feels wrong to watch this somehow..

Her poor 9 year old... I thought she was somehow going to escape!

It's believed that she killed 11 of her 13 children but no one can be sure. The series kept it ambiguous and didn't delve too deeply into her psyche. It was pretty light and I didn't really get the sense of grim, grinding, dirty poverty that allegedly pushed her into crime TBH. The cast was superb though, every one of them, including the children who had speaking roles.

There didn't seem to be a clear explanation about why she was spending all that money and pawning valuables when she had just married a middle class man, had his baby, and seemed settled into a life she had dreamed of.

I too thought it was rushed.

Thank you for reminding me about this - I recorded and watched the first pisode, but the second one fails to record - but I have found it on demand, so I'm going to watch it now.

I am sitting up to watch the US election results (I sleep badly anyway, and there didn't seem much point going to bed to lie awake and fret) - but there doesn't seem to be too much happening yet, so I'll watch Dark Angel and then see what's going on in America.

I couldn't watch it. I got half way through first part and just couldn't. Strange as I enjoy documentaries or dramas about how real crimes are solved and read crime fiction. I've realised what I like is the puzzle being solved. This was just too too sad for me.
