Does anyone else watch American idol?

I do - that's how exciting my Friday nights are.

But that's not my point. My point is this: is Cat Deely the world's most irritating TV presenter?? Or it is just me? Why does she never look at the camera? Why does she constantly look at the sky and the floor as though she's desperately looking for a teleprompter?

Sure she looks great but that's it.

Agree, Cat wonky face Deely is awful. Don't like her at all now.

When the first American idol series was on, I was living in the US and got hooked there. Kelly Clarkson won and I even called in and voted for her. And now in some really sad little way, when I hear her songs on the radio, i feel I played a small part in getting her there. I desperately need to get a life.

I am sky+ing this series and usually watch it over the weekend. You can watch it in half the time (or less) if you fastforward over the all the pointless (Cat, adverts etc) and repetitive bits!

Am looking forward to Hollywood and live shows really!

I wonder how some of the previous winners are getting on? Ovb Kelly Clarkson is doing great, but what about Fantasia Burrino, Rueben and that blonde country girl who beat Bo Bice (can't remember her name)

Ryan Seacrest drives me nuts, but I still watch. I like the Hollywood bit best too. They never show enough of that, and yet waste weeks on all these crappy early auditions.

Also did any one see the really goodlooking blonde, english bloke who got through to Hollywood.

northerner - blonde girl who beat Bo Bice has a huge career in country music. Nominated and winning awards. Her name is Carrie Underwood.

Not sure what's become of the others.

glad some other people agree with me about cat deeley, she is driving me insane!! the advert break every 10 mins is quite enough to handle without her giving her 'british view point'. we're british not idiots! it's only american idol and we really don't need a translation or explanation cat - thanks all the same.

I watch American Idol, but on Sky+ so probably not in the same order as it is broadcast. Cat is rubbish, can't understand why she is on it. Americans are more outgoing than us brits so it is much more entertaining than X-Factor.

yes. i only watch the auditions though. when they're down to those who can actually sing, it's no fun.

i love the ones who are convinced they're fab and then they open their mouth and it sounds like a cat trapped in a burning shed with 3 pit bulls.
