i remember white horses. i spent many hours trying to speak words whilst making my mouth do something else

foxtrot · 08/02/2007 10:07

that song gives me goosebumps

happystory · 08/02/2007 10:09

The song used to make me feel like crying and I couldn't quite understand why

foxtrot · 08/02/2007 10:17

Sample dialogue - "she's the neice of the stud director, she comes from Llubijana. You won't win her over with a lump of sugar' [LOL

ParanoidAndroid · 08/02/2007 10:37

Ahhhhhh, it feels like coming home, watching this!! I think I need the soundtrack as my ringtone!

Thanks Slow Norris!!

ellceeell · 08/02/2007 10:48

Okay, now tell me how to get the song out of my head for the rest of today

wheresthehamster · 08/02/2007 10:53

I never watched the programme but taught myself to play the song on the recorder to impress my little brother.

wheresthehamster · 08/02/2007 10:56

All together now.....

On white horses let me ride away
To my world of dreams so far away
Let me run
Toooooo the sun

CountessDracula · 08/02/2007 10:59

I want to know if the horse at the beginning had saddled himself up before going to wake up that girl

I am also concerned that there were no barriers at that level crossing. There could have been squished white horses galore

CountessDracula · 08/02/2007 11:01

who remembers follyfoot too ?

zippitippitoes · 08/02/2007 11:07

yes..I sent a letter to Junior points of View saying that there was no such thing as White Horses only greys and they read it out..

the next week they read out a load of replies saying well

even in those days you could be publicly outed as totally up your even if it did take a bit longer than it does now

happystory · 08/02/2007 11:09

OH.MY.GOD. Had forgotten all about that CD.
We used to drive past a sign near my aunt's that said 'Follyfoot farm' and I always wondered if that was'it'. I wasn't particularly into horses like some of my friends but I seem to have liked all the horsey programmes! Two of my friends used to write horses names inside their satchels (where later you wrote 'crushes' names )

Fauve · 08/02/2007 11:16

OMG OMG OMG Loved White Horses... thank you so much for the link!

Kbear · 08/02/2007 11:16

LOL at follyfoot... dobedoodoobedooo hilarious!

And white horses! Takes me back to the summer holidays, usually watched it before a nice Cliff or Elvis movie or maybe The Monkees!

theslownorris · 08/02/2007 11:18

I think I'm too young to remember Follyfoot on tv,but I've read the books and I inherited some annuals from my older cousins (I think I may still have them )

CountessDracula · 08/02/2007 11:20

so you oldies (like me) must remember this (cringe)

Kbear · 08/02/2007 11:23

Loved bopping with the Double Deckers!! They don't make em like they used to.

Someone find Banana Splits and we can stay here all day!

ishouldbeironing · 08/02/2007 11:23

thank you I am now 12years old again

CountessDracula · 08/02/2007 11:23

here they are!

Fauve · 08/02/2007 11:25

How about Black Beauty to the right, on CD's link?

I'm all happy now.

Kbear · 08/02/2007 11:26

Don't, I can't watch Black Beauty - used to scare me and make me cry depending on what happened to Beauty. Remember the one where the old woman tried to poison the handsome boy with toadstools and Beauty saved him? I was worried sick.

CountessDracula · 08/02/2007 11:27

how about \link\lamb chop!} (could only find the old black and white one with this advert, check out Tiny Tears smoking a PIPE!)

Kbear · 08/02/2007 11:28

Also, Little House on the Prairie. I wanted to bash that stuck up girl with the hair in ringlets for being mean to Half Pint.

Do you think I got too involved in tv as a child?

CountessDracula · 08/02/2007 11:28

try again

ishouldbeironing · 08/02/2007 11:31

I had a Tiny Tears Doll!!!
Oh no this is soooo addictive I have got to get moving.
By the way having seen the dates on a couple of clips I am not 12 but 8 or 9 years old
