totallyfloaty35 · 06/02/2007 21:11

why is it you have to be orange to be a ballroom dancer?

Not seen programme, but to be fair they put make up on all children when they are dancing on stage or whatever. Think it is to do with the lighting.

DD went to a great little dance lesson, for a few months, earlier this year - aimed at 3-5 years old. That was the first stages of ballroom dancing. DD loved her silver sparkly heeled ballroom shoes Sadly she had to finish when she started school as I couldn't get her up on a Saturday in time for the early morning class!

southeastastra · 06/02/2007 21:16

seems like fun so far!

Whizzz · 06/02/2007 21:16

Tabitha has very badly done home-tan face !

I knew there would be a thread on this! I can't believe the pushy parents.
That girl at the kitchen table looks bored out of her mind.

brandy7 · 06/02/2007 21:21

dont like the parents, bossy so and sos, poor girl and her make up! she looks like shes got panda eyes

themoon66 · 06/02/2007 21:23

That little girl, Elie, in the white looks strangely older than her years and a bit creepy in that weird make up.

themoon66 · 06/02/2007 21:24

My DD (9) is about to have her first competition.....in 3 weeks

She will NOT be wearing fake tan (mind you she is mixed race)

She may wear some eyemake up (I am leaning towards eyeliner and a subtle shadow - no mascara - she is 9 fgs)

Her dress is a bit "dayglo"

I think I am more nervous than her....but she is the instigator of the classes & the competitions

brandy7 · 06/02/2007 21:52

hope she gets on ok katymac

Katymac · 06/02/2007 21:58

I do wonder if she does badly & gives up - if I'll be happy

Molesworth · 06/02/2007 22:00

omg ellie's parents were appalling

she's a wonderful dancer though
