That would be MI5 and Mumsnet - not that I don't have a tremendous affection for the M5 Confused

KeziaOAP · 15/09/2016 14:54

Crying shame CJ's arm in the way in that scene pix Wink

KeziaOAP · 15/09/2016 14:56

rhu Elvis is a captain was at Sandhurst with CJ

Rhubarb01 · 15/09/2016 14:58

Thanks Kezia. A captain and a bit of an Essex lad !

cjwoofwoof · 15/09/2016 15:03

Ooh here's another theory re the Laura tattoo...

Nobody checked round the whole arm circumference and it actually reads "Laura...nce" . Obvs sewers are not the only downpipes Elvis enjoys scaling and he didn't have the heart to tell Georgie about Laurance back at home in London washing his balaclava Confused

Afternoon, catching up with ep 2. Enjoyed it so much better than the first one. Sad Kicki died she was amazing. MK was good. Elvis is gorgeous too but looks to young for me to drool over. CJ still my favourite definitely more confident and mature this series.

BA looks amazing in these pics ice, love pic 2. BA been busy recently as lots of new photo's being released. His new PR company are definitely working at increasing his profile, so hopefully more interviews and pics soon.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 15/09/2016 15:10

I was rather disturbed yesterday by how insanely hot I found Elvis not just in the shower scene but at the end in his full SAS kit - wraparound shades, scarf over the face, etc.

Would love to be rescued by him

kazzaD66 · 15/09/2016 15:15

Just re-watched ep2....well, just fast forwarded to the CJ scenes a number of times, because I am that shallow short on time. Especially loved the two main scenes with CJ and Elvis; sexy sweary CJ when E turns up and then the banter in the shower scene. Even naked, I have to say EH/LP does nothing for me, although it did make me laugh when he queried CJ's "James Bond" line - the way he popped up reminded me of a meerkat.
rhu - I also chuckled at the Mansfield/CJ banter Smile

kuiakaituhi · 15/09/2016 16:03

Nah, I think Georgie might give both of them the flick.

I have this scenario in my head for Series 3 , back to CJ and Molly, based around married life as serving soldiers, perhaps wit 1-2 kids. All sorts of possibilities, Hard to know where they could base the action. I guess the sad part is waiting to see new conflicts/wars develop.
I was very aware watching last night that the scenario was a very real possibility. Craziness,as shown by that awful ginger Pommie Islamist and the boy being brainwashed into doing the dirty work.
I often think of that beautiful young English soldier who was beheaded in an English street and the crazed antics of the killer just afterwards.
Kiki's death was very believable!!

SoEverybodyDance · 15/09/2016 16:04

Yes Kazza, you are right... definitely a meerkat popping up there... I think they could have some comedy with these two guys together (and even do a prequel) though I am slightly sceptical of Elvis's posh boy credentials, he's a bit too maverick and street to have gone to Sandhurst... where as CJ's arse Sandhurst credentials are of course impeccable!

Thing is... would you ever get back with someone who had sent his his good mate to dump you at the altar... I mean he had not even picked up the phone? What back story could we accept from Elvis?

Ilovelblue · 15/09/2016 16:06

Dance hence the slap across Elvis' face as soon as she realised who had rescued her I guess.

Made for extremely compulsive viewing though!

pixieg1rl · 15/09/2016 16:32

Any better kezia?

I've already offered a couple of very plausible reasons for Elvis jilting SugarT Dancey but could probably think of some very silly scenarios if you want.

Rhubarb01 · 15/09/2016 16:49

Well I've got to hand it to TG - he's thrown us a veritable can of worms to unravel and boy do we love to unravel and at great length! I was a bit unsure after episode one if it was going to work for me but I think the arrival of Elvis has not only saved Georgie's day but pretty much made ours and I decided I'd seen enough, relented and ordered series 2.

Just thinking about Kuia's point regarding the homegrown Islamist - it really is pretty topical when you consider some of the news stories we've heard and lends another dynamic to the situation. I was also intrigued by the photos that Georgie saw in that room at the compound - possible future targets for terrorist actions? I'm sure what she has seen is probably relevant for some point in the future story.

Rhubarb01 · 15/09/2016 16:52

Just popping over to look at that thread about the worst programmes on TV at the moment and sincerely hoping OG is not mentioned.

Rhubarb01 · 15/09/2016 16:58

Ok we're safe it's mostly Mrs Browns Boys (pix will agree) and Geordie Shore.

Nickel45 · 15/09/2016 17:56

So, been trying to drag my mind away from nakedness and was thinking about Gl, as a medic ... seeing as she is senior to Molly, I was surprised she was all in a flap when Kiki got shot - there wasn't any "direct pressure" or "stay with me" or making tourniquets out of the string she pulled from her trousers. Anyway, just saying! Going back to my previous musings now!

KeziaOAP · 15/09/2016 18:07

Yes pix much better Grin

Rhubarb01 · 15/09/2016 18:19

Nickel I think the main reason she didn't function well apart from having no medical kit at her disposal to do anything was just pure emotion, being at the end of your tether, fear of your life and the hopelessness of the situation. She probably instinctively knew she couldn't save her. I actually think what happened is going to haunt her. I think we might see the repercussions of being in that situation and then trying to return to 'normal' life. Kicki wasn't in the series long from the point of view of showing how humanitarian organisations function so I'm guessing there's another point to her being a character in this story and it's the effect it has on Georgie - (just one of those tangly worms from that can!)

pixieg1rl · 15/09/2016 18:37

I think the aftermath of Kicki and Zaki's deaths are going to be an ongoing theme here, but my suspicion is that there will also be some family issues on her return as well.

SoEverybodyDance · 15/09/2016 18:44

Yes please Woofy ket's have some more silly scenarios... sometimes the silliest things can happen!

I once met a man in a hospital bed who had got drunk and jumped off a motorway bridge. He woke up with shattered ankles and concussion which resulted in permanent brain damage. He doesn't know who he is and no one has come forward to claim anyone like him. (That's a bit sad). Perhaps he was on his stag night... who knows?
