although slightly enjoyed the family dynamics going on last night, unfortunately DD's favourite programme and in fact Guardian seems to recommend it^

I may have skipped about 15 pages between last week's immediate post-match analysis and the start of this week's. Blush

SoEverybodyDance · 15/09/2016 00:13

So Woof, was there a happy ending to the shower scene in your house then?

kuiakaituhi · 15/09/2016 03:05

Got it already! Brilliant, see what you mean about the shower scene though why he needs one BEFORE the action I don't know..,
CJ was better this time, too, he'll have to update his diary when he gets a couple of quiet minutes after all the excitement.

Morning! Early start for me

Ditto to your thoughts NVM BA a tad on the scrawny side for me too normally as I like a bit more of a Lego shape with excellent obliques, but that face more than makes up for the lack of meat on the bone. The combats also add to the brownie points tally and I disagree about the walk - his long legs really are quite marvellous when imagining having them wrapped round your muffin top.

Although having said that, Elvis in the shower was very pleasant on the eye and he's not exactly Manu's body double either.

I may need to ponder a little longer whilst replaying Elvis in Shower scene many many a couple of times as I now fear my type may well be anything in trousers under 60 with a pulse and his own hair Confused

Berlin585 · 15/09/2016 07:01

As per usual I am hopelessly behind. I gather lady nights episode was good so I must make it a priority to watch today.

I see the DVD is now down to a more reasonable £13.99 with a release date of 17th Oct...woo hoo..

kuiakaituhi · 15/09/2016 07:10

Kept hoping that CJ might hop in the shower too. They make a stunning duo of male pulchritude together, do they not!

Rhubarb01 · 15/09/2016 07:13

Morning! Well, I completed a rewatch with subtitles so now feel I am fully up to speed with everything and yes, I think it's got me hooked.

I have come to the conclusion that the shower scene was entirely gratuitous - no reason for it at all and therefore was put there entirely for our benefit Grin.

I think in all the excitement we didn't stop to consider Kicki very much and as NVM says it was a shame that she died so early on but I'm wondering if that's going to be a source of guilt and trouble for Georgie as time goes on - they shot her because they said she knew Georgie was a soldier and kept quiet (not suprisingly).

I am now desperately behind this morning - must double away. Have a good day everyone - no doubt I'll be back later.

Ilovelblue · 15/09/2016 07:18

Jed think that was commented on last week. We're over that now, happy just to admire and wallow! Well certainly me and woof. Think Jen might be with us too.Wink

Ilovelblue · 15/09/2016 07:26

Berlin am definitely getting the DVD if it's a fairly normal price. Thanks for the tip!

You're probably right about the shower scene but who cares if it was gratuitous? Don't think we're complaining?

On a more mundane level, those so called showers were not suitable for any women on the base though I suppose the guys wouldn't consider that a problem!

cjwoofwoof · 15/09/2016 07:29

Well either of them can pull on my pulchri anytime they like kuia Grin

Have to say Rhu I had to titter to myself at the thought of you sitting there with your headphones on re-watching the episode with subtitles in case you missed anything. I'm imagining it like Bletchley Park at Rhu Manor with a little Ops Room complete with cables, tv screens, freeze frame photos scattered on a big heavy table and you up the other end in headphones and bottle end glasses to help you focus. That is amazingly above and beyond, well done Halo

When I watch it's blah blah blah ooh Elvis is in the shower blah blah blah ooh CJs being all shouty and legs akimbo blah blah blah so I'm glad I've got you 100% by my side to fill in what's actually going on Star

Richtea19 · 15/09/2016 07:31

Morning all, hope we all had sweet dreams of shouty CJ and shower scenes Elvis.

I see in our favourite newspaper TDM this morning MK is grabbing the headline under showbiz for her faultless acting in BBCs drama OG.... GNorton here we come! TG might even get bought out by Chanel 4!!!!

cjwoofwoof · 15/09/2016 07:33

On the dvd note I saw OG1 in Sainsburys for £3 a few weeks back Sad

Onlygirljen · 15/09/2016 07:51

I'm definitely with you on the Elvis admiration ilove although CJ can't call him Charlie yet will always be my number 1!

The shower scene was all sorts of gratuitous, thanks TG! Grin

My only minor annoyance with that scene was that they spoke about Molly, Elvis asked after his folks, but no mention of Sam. Really? Confused should probably stop listening and just appreciate the gorgeousness

Really did enjoy the episode though, bought into MK / Georgie a lot more than last week.

Rhubarb01 · 15/09/2016 07:59

So I'm back already - should have shut this down.

Woof you don't know how close to the truth you are, or at least DH would think so if he read that comment as I possess what he calls my own personal 'Hut' in the garden of Rhubarb Manor which will now forever in my mind be known as 'Lech - ley Park'.

Ditto Jen to that Sam comment. I know it was all a bit brusque between him and Elvis but you're right that CJ should have mentioned him. Perhaps it will come up in conversation later? Actually, I was wondering what CJ's relationship with his parents was like because in episode 1 he said his mother could do with one of 'those pills' when they were handing out tic tacs and yesterday he said they were "still mithering on!" hmm. Do we think there's more to come - wonder what they make of Molly then?

OK I'm definitely going now at least until lunchtime.

AlittleinlustwithRA · 15/09/2016 08:02

Morning all - just catching up.

Loved last night's episode - things are really hotting up nicely thanks to the presence of our milk tray man Grin. TG and the Beeb are really spoiling us this time round - may have to wade in and join the queue for a share in Elvis. Anyone else thinking LP has the right 'attributes' to play Bond?

Still enjoying the Molly mentions - though I agree Jen , CJ should have mentioned Sam. Still glad TG has kept Molly and CJ together as a couple. I think I'd have turned off in disgust if he hadn't and what a waste that would have been!

Delphin · 15/09/2016 08:20

Episode 2 sounds interesting. Hopefully I'll find the time to watch tonight! Let's see what Elvis has to say... Hmm

TheLegendOfBeans · 15/09/2016 08:39

BLOODY HELL THAT WAS AWESOME

that is all

cjwoofwoof · 15/09/2016 08:46

Never mind what he has to say Delph it's the lathering shower action that'll have your eyes on stalks and your tongue hanging out going from my own experience

Beans we have a saying on this thread and you're almost there with awesome - see Ep 1 of S1 winching Molly to safety scene - then you'll remember the other half of said saying.

And you're right it was.

cjwoofwoof · 15/09/2016 08:48

Rhu Grin Grin Grin at Lechley Park

Heligirl79 · 15/09/2016 09:31

I think last nights episode was much better than the first and thank god everyone on Twitter was praying for Mansfield, otherwise he may have been a goner! Grin.

I liked Elvis, looking forward to finding out why he didn't go through with the wedding. I also thought it was weird that he didn't ask CJ about Sam. Like that they are still mentioning Molly.

SoEverybodyDance · 15/09/2016 09:49

Perhaps they didn't speak about Sam Jen because we're going to find out that Laura is also a child?

I have to say I have been disappointed to witness all sorts of incomprehensible defections recently and Woofy has lost her head completely up a drainpipe in my view! ... I've spent two years worshipping at the temple of the God that is CJ/BA and there will be no fickle transfer to a floppy-haired, altar-shy, soft-voiced Elvis/LP in this house...

On the other hand, I'd be happy if you invited me to join you at the brilliantly named Lechley Park, Rhu so that there is always someone keeping 'eyes on' while you take a wee break...

MaddieMoo82 · 15/09/2016 10:18

I well up for a visit to lechley too rhu! Can you have an open day so we can all come Grin

moojangles · 15/09/2016 10:20

Lechley Park!!!!
Still stating true to CJ but Elvis is growing on me, as long as he's mute & topless! As for the floppy hair, can't do the whole regs thing as it doesn't have to be.
Highlight....sweary CJ

Loving all the comments from last night

SoEverybodyDance · 15/09/2016 10:48

Angry CJ is just the best, Moo!

Since Tony Grounds has clearly been catching up on Mumsnet... I'd like to put in a formal complaint... how the hell could he deny us a Captain Shoutypants in the shower moment? Surely he knew what we wanted, after all the longing and lusting of the last two years!

YOU"RE TOO CRUEL, TONY!

Right, now I've got that off my chest, it's back to RL for me...
