Oh thank god. From the trailer I thought the copter came down on the pub during Charlie's party.

I'll watch tomorrow with less stress.

Does this mean I have to start watching Holby city to get the full story of what happens next!?

Oh how I love Casualty in all of its silly storylines, moments of bad acting, annoying characters glory Grin I recently got a TV having not had one for years and I was so excited this evening to watch Casualty when it actually aired!

Not really a spoiler...

It just showed him collapsed.

Anyway, it's not so much any actual spoiler but the fact that someone thinks it appropriate to post spoilers for stuff. I often switch off before the "next week on...." Trailer and don't read TV write ups so, personally, I rarely know anything in advance. i find it irritating when people go "ooh here's a spoiler!" The clue is in the name.

I love casualty and Holby for how unrealistic they are and Spot the Disaster.

I not convinced they'll kill Grace off. I suspect she might make a miraculous recovery under SElfie's godlike hands.

I've just caught up and loved the #bringbackthechainsaw moments and the actual crash (though ER did it better!) . Glad Dylan is fine, would have been more dramatic if it was Connie rather than Grace that died.

I watched after being out eating and drinking, worth it to watch it last night before bed. It was classic, the rotor blades and shrapnel were great. We could have seen a bit more treating of those people. The leg was a nice touch.

The Big Mac bit made me really sad. Ha. I only just got the burger reference.

We are still trying to work out how many died in the crash? Agree there should have been more on the treatment of those people.

It was all rather lighthearted right at the end Hmm

The cute pilot had DEAD on his back from the beginning!

I was hoping that they were brining in the air ambulance as a replacement for the road paramedics as Iain and the other one are super annoying. I loved how typical of a casualty episode it was. If you couldn't spot the dead men walking and the pre-emotive disaster it wouldn't be casualty. It's certainly not s documentary!

I didn't spot him as being a goner - I assumed he had a good part for an extra because he was an old colleague from Holby :o

I have missed a little bit I think - did the other mother from the Porsche Cayenne who was knocked down die? I saw her back st the hospital being treated but not since, however dh has been bobbing about grtting ready for work so I've had a few distractions.

Report
Soubriquet · 28/08/2016 12:08

No. The other mother hasn't died yet

She was still in surgery when the episode finished

SoupDragon · 28/08/2016 12:09

Sad not to see Zoe

That was the purpose of the lookalike agency nurse.

Report
Soubriquet · 28/08/2016 12:13

I'm surprised they allowed that agency nurse to stay for her full shift.
If she wasn't prepared to work, I would have thought they would have sent her home and complained to the agency itself

So many questions -

Would people strapped into a car falling off a hill really be flung clear? As for Connie being supported to walk to see Grace after that - FGS! Surely at the very least they'd have brought a wheelchair?

The kid who was responsible for it all didn't seem to be worried about anyone except Grace. How about the helicopter pilots?

Why was Ethan walking around on a recently dislocated knee instead of grabbing a pair of crutches?

So agency nurse has gone through training and all the work she's done since qualification as a totally lazy, jobsworth cow. But after one shift breathing Holby air she's become another ministering angel. Really?

Why did they shut the department down completely, particularly given that they had an unusually large complement of staff around? Surely there must have been other injured people besides Connie and Grace who deserved their attention? I know initially the electrics were doing peculiar things, but they still didn't reopen it once that was sorted.

Finally - bring back Josh! Bring back Josh! Bring back Josh!

Sorry soup Blush I thought everyone read the blurb on the sky screen when a programme started.

I can only presume fletch went back to the hospital to see evie and got caught up in it, as opposed to going home?

Oh, and another question. Surely Jacob could have found a shirt without blood all over it before going to see Connie?

PopFizz · 28/08/2016 14:43

Francis, we need good old Ash back. Not knobhead returned ash, but the original nurse ash!

Nice to see some old faces, wish they'd bring back Josh properly!

Do you think Jacob is intended to be as intensely dislikable as he is?

I just can't imagine anyone with an ounce of self respect falling for him.
