Yes Holby was mention as a continuation.

Soubriquet · 27/08/2016 21:41

Bloody hell what a fantastic episode!!

Even Dh who doesn't like casualty was clinging on.

The only other time I can remember such a good episode was when they had that casualty/holby city crossover with the fire

Going to go back and read everyone's comments now

SmokingGun · 27/08/2016 21:42

Oh I don't normally watch holby but shall make an exception.

PopFizz · 27/08/2016 21:43

Holby spoiler - sky says for Tuesday "with evie still recovering fletch committed to being a better dad, with tragic consequences"

He only had a near miss with the bomb guy a few weeks ago. And his kids have already lost their mum :-(

Soubriquet · 27/08/2016 21:48

Did anyone else think holby doctor looked like a female version of Michael Jackson with that bad nose job?

SoupDragon · 27/08/2016 22:05

Why the hell would you post a spoiler to anything??

Optimist1 · 27/08/2016 22:06

The spectacular bang, crash, booms were impressive but my goodness the script was crap! I was hoping that the whole lot of them would be wiped out during the last half hour. As if non-hospital staff (Duffy, Josh) would be permitted to take up the slack in A&E! As if Connie's charisma would persuade her medics to allow her to totter along to Grave's bedside! Grim.

FoxesOnSocks · 27/08/2016 22:16

Fletch's wife is dead?

PopFizz · 27/08/2016 22:22

She died a couple of years back foxes. They'd separated, shed got drunk, fallen off a wall, head injury and died.

FoxesOnSocks · 27/08/2016 22:25

As you do.

Ok have to start recording Holby. Dh will be delighted, with Casualty and my ER box sets he just can't get enough of medical dramas ...

PopFizz · 27/08/2016 22:27

Ha ha, I also have Greys to add to that pile

TimeIhadaNameChange · 27/08/2016 22:37

I enjoyed that! All but Pat Butcher's character. Glad I'm not the only one to get annoyed by the accents, she seemed to be all over the shop.

Fletch is falling into alcoholism. Wonder if wossername (Casualty nurse, on tonight, his old lover) will be back? I know, with the back story, it'd be hard for her to take him back, but it would be just what he needs.

Rally hope Josh stays. The Old Guard back together would kick the pace into shape!

seasidesally · 27/08/2016 22:40

think that was Tess

You know what was good about tonight's episode was the helicopter / drone build up. Recall on the ongoing Casualty thread we had #bringbackthechainsaw?

Well that was just perfect: air ambulance in use + see boy opening drone shortly after = 'Ooooh!!' from viewer.

peaceloveandshitmoms · 27/08/2016 22:46

Not really a spoiler when the trailer shown directly after Casualty implied directly that.

peaceloveandshitmoms · 27/08/2016 22:46

And soubriquet I will not have a bad word said against Hansen or Jac!

Soubriquet · 27/08/2016 22:47

Was Jac the name of the Michael Jackson look a like?

I don't watch holby. Which is strange really as I love casualty

peaceloveandshitmoms · 27/08/2016 22:51

Jac is a tigress Grin

PopFizz · 27/08/2016 22:52

Love Jac, shes bloody on fire

FoxesOnSocks · 27/08/2016 22:56

I occasionally watch Holby if I happen to be watching to when it's on and nobody else is around to moan about it. Which is rare.

SmokingGun · 27/08/2016 23:07

I'm a bit confused as to how fletch could have been involved? He left quite a bit before the accident and wasn't someone who we saw being rescued or even involved in the slightest? Maybe whatever happens to him is completely unrelated? Jac is back on casualty in 2 weeks apparently.

RJnomore1 · 27/08/2016 23:29

I'll be wTching tomorrow so I haven't read the thread but it's a helicopter crashing into. Pub isn't it, but close to home for us in or near Glasgow.

I still remember sitting on here that St. Andrews night as the news kept coming in.

My good friend turned out to have been in the pub too and him and his brother carried the injured out.

I love casualty and I get that it draws on real life but I'm watching this early on in daylight with coffee.

peaceloveandshitmoms · 27/08/2016 23:29

Tisnt the pub RJ Flowers

Maria I said to my mate tonight give it a year or two & Lily & Ian will be married. I'm quite good at guessing things like that (well usually.)
My only gripe is that Casualty wasn't long enough as was expecting 2hrs.
Ooh one more thing, will Max fall in love with Zoealike nurse & go all deranged?
