I went to DGS1's graduation assembly this morning with DD. When did this start? My two never had graduation at school. It was lovely, very emotional.

Just watched a really really excellent documentary on bbc2 iplayer - Exodus. Following families of refugees on their journeys. Heartrending. Dont forget the tissues.

In case you haven't heard the finale is being shown on Monday 1st August at 9pm. Yes, you heard right. A Monday. Words fail me.

Shitting hell, this makes the scheduling of s2 look positively wonderful. Still, I suppose this epitomises the attitude of the BBC to this show and its UK audience. Going out with a massive two fingers and a deafening 'fuck you all'

Oh well - the finale party will have to turn intoa 3-day festival from 30th July - 1st August. Maybe 4 days to account for the hangover

Hah!, babyelk was awake by 11pm last night and full of the joys. She did take the hint eventually when I lay down in bed and closed my eyes however. MrElk must have put her back in her own bed, because the next I saw of her was when she got in the shower with me this morning (nappy included)!

In other news, the office's air con actually worked and made it a very pleasant place to be today. I even had to put a cardigan on at one point! Wasn't a terribly nice drive home in the heat, but at least I didn't get caught in the traffic jam going the other way...
