She has been told she can't have children so she will be keen to have this baby. I heard a rumour about the dad and it sounded ridiculous, someone she has never had any real connection with! As far as I can remember.......!

I do still think it unlikely that Billy would have fallen for Todd - Billy's very 'moral' and Todd is so not. I know he's not popular on here, but I felt really sorry for Sean, the way Billy dumped him when he was so excited about Billy meeting his son.

I agree- Billy and Todd not at all believable.
I thought that about Leanne and high heels despite a bad back!

And another- as pp put out, she's only just had a one night stand- can't possibly be pregnant so quickly?

I agree about Sean. I'm not a fan of his, but that was quite cruel, IMO.

No, unfortunately she didn't leave. The job wasn't what she expected so she came back, on the quiet. She planned to leave again to visit relatives but meantime Amy and Maria got involved, and succeeded in reuniting her with Steve.

Hi, I'm fairly late to discovering these threads but have loved reading everyone else's (similar!) views on the ridiculousness of plots etc etc.

However, despite not having been locked in a cave for two weeks, I didn't know about the Kylie storyline as I deliberately skip trailers and don't read magazines. Would it be really rude as a newbie to ask if all spoilers could be avoided, even if people think it's common knowledge??

Obv if you regulars want to discuss upcoming story lines, I'll keep out but maybe ask for thread title to change? Thanks!!

It has featured in lots of new papers as well as magazines. And the trailer featuring her funeral car has been shown repeatedly, not just during the Coronation St. episodes.

Leanne usually refers to Les by his first name as well but occasionally says dad I think.

Ridiculous that she has taken a pg test already. Her encounter was barely 2 weeks ago and since she thinks she cannot get pregnant surely she would have just assumed her body was out of synch due to stress or whatever rather than immediately assuming she was having a baby.

Unless a bad back is now a major and well known symptom when you are 2 weeks pregnant.

My guess is Nick will offer to stand by her and pretend the baby is his. Then there will be some major medical drama where the baby needs a kidney from a blood relative and the real dad will have to step up. They kind of did this before with Molly/Kevin/Tyronne but the scriptwriters seem to have ridiculously short memories so am sure the story will be reworked.

What amused me last night was the closing shot with her practically caressing a 'bump'.

Julie - we don't normally do spoilers, however when something has been in the press loads, on tv, the actress being interviewed about it everywhere, endless trailers etc then I think it is impossible to avoid it. I honestly think if you access the internet you have to accept you may occasionally see a spoiler.

Some threads endlessly debate spoilers. This one doesn't, and once again I apologise for mentioning it, however I'm not going to beat myself up about it, it has happened, it isn't the end of the world, and as she dies this week it isn't going to spoil it for long.

Also, the biggest indicator that she is going to die soon is that everything in her life is starting to fall back into place, she's happy with her partner and is making plans for the future. In soapland that means certain death.

Would anyone like a spoilers thread (maybe just me!) but I'm itching to discuss the Leanne baby daddy situation with others that know who he is or dont mind knowing iykwim :)

I read Digital Spy for the spoilers, but I try not to mention them here. They haven't given any indication about how she dies though.

I think it would have been very hard to avoid knowing that Kylie was going to die. It's mentioned everywhere. Even if you actively tried to avoid spoilers, standing in a queue in a supermarket, or newsagents, you are bound to see something on magazine covers. The trailer with her getting into the hearse is played so much also.
I think it has not been revealed how, just that it's something that has never been done before.
I saw it on another thread, that she died of boredom... . Sorry, I laughed.

She is a big loss to Corrie, one of the really credible characters.

Yes she's fantastic doesn't she run a drama school for young people? We'll see lots more of her I bet.

Kylie and David were good together. Glad David is staying hope he reverts to type. Loved it when he threw the peanuts at Gail.
