Hi everyone.

Sorry for not being on this week. Literally craziness since we got back from Warwick Uni. The car broke down and spent most of the week trying to find a garage that would fix it then kids lost the tablet and I've only just found it but there's no charge on it do am using the last few seconds before it dies.

I'll try and get on later. Hugs to everyone.

I'm well shattered tonight. Looked after my friend's two children for most of the day. Her very elderly grandmother died earlier this week so she wanted to go to see her grandfather and sit with him for a while. I took the opportunity of taking them both on the train as for the younger one, it was his first time on a train. I definitely deserved that glass of wine with my tea!

mooj you were obviously partying till the early hours. I admire your energy!

I've had a letter from my elderly aunt who lives abroad giving me her totally ill-informed views on our referendum. I was so cross reading it that I nearly threw it straight in the bin!

ilove we are finding it really hard not to get into "discussions/debates" with my brother in law who is quite frankly racist and narrow minded. It's so hard not to get into a Facebook rant with him - we are being mute as I can't be doing with falling out with my sister, but my god his a ......!!

Back from hols, washing done and ironing is waiting for me. Boys were thrilled to have us home, apparently nanny was a nightmare to live with. Eldest DS ate as much broccoli in a week than his had in his whole life time (skin looks better though), they have learnt how to polish shoes and to make a bed!! Will it work with me next week????

Those on FB know I've had a rough few days. My mum has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. She's having biopsy either tomorrow or Monday. Drs initially thought she had a stroke
I'm flying home tomorrow for a few days.

Nanny sounds excellent rich (coming from an ex boarding schooler who had matron inspecting shoe polishing and bed making from age 10)

I've just been on the phone to my dad and avoided all referendum talk. Given that he's spent the last 40 years moaning about outcome of the 1975 one there's no prizes for guessing which way he voted. Then there's my brother posting UKIP videos on Facebook... Let's just say politics is not something that gets discussed.

Thank you for the comments on the story. It's been a tough week for writing and a tough day for parenting today as DD was in need of some more of mother's sports psychology to lift her out of a pit of despair. I've decided cliches are generally based on truisms and therefore worth repeating.

I'm too late for the Musketeers but will try to be back for Watchalong if anyone else is here in a few minutes.
