Ok, I've re-watched. I did think of Lyndie when we saw Dog and Connie's bed! I also noticed the shrine. In fact there was so much that I was grinning all the way through.
I also thought that the Duke of Beaufort looked like an escapee from Versailles.
Loved Porthos carrying two sacks of grain when everyone else had one. And what a mess to make of the floor. I would have hit him and told him to get it all up.
Loved Athos's look when he realised the others had seen the kiss. And Porthos's laugh.
It's not my favourite episode obviously, but certainly nowhere near the worst because, well, Athos. 
Wrt the violence, they were told 'Make it more adult because it's going out post-watershed.' Then, 'Oops, it's not, take out the adult stuff.' So again, it's damned if it does and damned if it doesn't.
