I don't like this series. Too much gory nastiness. I preferred Dr Who's camp but sexy evil guy. I find it unbelievable Louis and his sycophants would give the nutty addict evil guy the time of day, family or no family. Wasn't convinced by inter-racial marriages in the middle ages either. It seemed tokenism rather than portraying medieval Paris as a multicultural metropolis.
It's all too formulaic. It's more interesting when they're not just fighting the red guard guy every week, like Merlin got boring when it was just Merlin v Morgana every week.
