I have been in local outdoor spot all day for sports day. I am rather fetchingly tanned on my feet and forearms which will be lovely for work on Wednesday. I am sure Aramis won't mind and I suspect his interest lie in the white bits anyway.

I am going to keep going with Versailles because Greg Jenner said it gets better and I trust him.

Where do 5-year-olds get their energy from, and on such a hot day??? It wasn't too bad, he fell asleep on a sunbed (in the shade) this afternoon so I was able to clear the washing from the holiday.

And sorry for the grump, DsIs has pissed me off over mum's move. Mum was supposed to move house at the end of April, but it has been delayed over and over again. Mum can't do any of it herself so we're doing it for her. I've cancelled going down there three or four times, she has finally exchanged and Dsis asked me to go on specific dates midweek, it's going to be awkward as mrElk doesn't get home until late, but I managed to sort it. Now she wants me to cancel all that and go the weekend we have arranged to go away, a break we'd arranged as some r&r after FILs funeral. She then told me all about the lovely plans they have for the following weekend. I know she is at the pointy end of looking after mum, and off corse she deserves a break, but we've all put our lives on hold with the constant delays.

It's FILs funeral tomorrow and Babyelk started with d&v last night - woke up swimming in it.

Oh, and the cat has gone on a probably one way trip to the vet. I had to wipe the worst of the vom off me with a bit of kitchen roll to take her...I've not even had a shower yet
