Just saw a lovely trailer, it starts on 26th May. Can't wait

OP posts:
Roussette · 06/06/2016 21:58

Awww poor Josh

dillite · 06/06/2016 21:58

Well done to Joyce, she went from the bottom to the top.

No surprises about Josh though, he was getting out of his depth.

SuffolkNWhat · 06/06/2016 21:58

Aw poor Josh but not a surprise really

SoupDragon · 06/06/2016 21:58

Aw..... :( that seems a shame as he did so well in the first two challenges.

dillite · 06/06/2016 21:59

Is it me, or is Patrick looking a bit ill in those close ups?

dillite · 06/06/2016 22:00

Oh I love vintage patterns! I wish I could make them for me, but they didn't have human hippo's back then.

HalsallRedux · 06/06/2016 22:04

Funnily enough, dillite*, I was just saying to dh that Patrick looked very pale and not at all well.

MarthaMonkeynuts · 06/06/2016 22:07

I thought Patrick was pretty vicious tonight. I like it when he's mean....

SunnyL · 06/06/2016 22:36

Just caught up. Wasn't it lovely tonight. Ankara style is my favorite style but I'm always getting comments and odd looks when I wear African fabrics. Maybe now my friends will think I actually look cool rather than tragic as a peelly wally white Scottish woman wearing African prints?!

Roussette · 07/06/2016 07:18

I bet you look fab Sunny, I love those prints.

Agree Josh was hanging on by his fingernails and it wouldn't have been fair for him to do another week. Lovely guy though and I think Patrick really took to him

SoupDragon · 07/06/2016 07:26

I agree that Josh would never have made it to the final but he had a good week this week really. I did wonder whether he would suddenly find his feet and turn into a surprise star though :)

Im still struggling to pick out my finalists. Tracey seems to have upped her game this week but I guess it depends if this is carried on.I'm wondering whether Jade has peaked, purely from a lack of experience rather than a lack of skill. None of them seem to be consistent, it's proving tricky this year.

SunnyL · 07/06/2016 07:54

I think Joyce and Charlotte will make the final with the rest fighting it out for the 3rd spot

Roussette · 07/06/2016 08:55

Tracey is doing well she still annoys me though as she is slightly supercilious when she has finished early etc

I think the rest are pretty evenly matched which will make it an exciting series!

Haggisfish · 07/06/2016 09:20

I think Joyce and Charlotte as well, although not if Joyce keeps going off piste!

BurningGubbins · 07/06/2016 11:15

Just caught up. I think Angeline is one to watch if she can improve her accuracy. Her choice of fabrics and patterns is really striking so I'd guess she could pull off some impressive makes if she goes further.

SoupDragon · 07/06/2016 11:20

Joyce has slipped down my Velcro league table after this week. Although I want to be her friend as she seems like a good laugh!

Roussette · 07/06/2016 12:00

I love the way Patrick calls Joyce "infuriating" and Joyce preens Grin

Sunnymeg · 07/06/2016 13:53

I'm glad we've got Joyce still in the competition for vintage week. I bet she has some good stories to tell from her years of sewing . I was amazed that Jade got through to next week. That alteration was appalling.

LyndaNotLinda · 07/06/2016 14:06

I would have sent Jade home over Josh. And too many of them have names beginning with J Angry

Joyce didn't really come last in the first challenge, she was just going off piste. Now she's had her hand slapped, she won't do it again

I love both Charlotte and Joyce. They both seem a laugh

SheHasAWildHeart · 07/06/2016 14:24

Love how Joyce ends each episode planning what she is going to be drinking that evening! Charlotte, Angeline and Joyce for the final.

Witchend · 07/06/2016 14:29

I think there's an aspect of school awards in garment of the week: if you really mess up with the first two challenges, then do well in the third they give you headmaster's award garment of the week.

ElspethFlashman · 07/06/2016 14:36

I love Joyce. She's funny. Would love to get squiffy on a bottle of Pint Grigio with her. It'd be a right laugh.

Tracey basically doesn't come across as being particularly humble. She thinks she's great! She seems to pat herself on the back a bit. It's a bit off putting as she makes the same mistakes as everyone else.

TragicallyUnbeyachted · 07/06/2016 18:56

I predict Joyce, Charlotte and Angeline in the final. But then I had previously predicted Jamie so I am not a good Sewing Bee tipster.

redexpat · 08/06/2016 21:36

I think we all thought that Jamie would make the final, including the judges. Tracey 's jolliness irritates me, also her explaining what she's doing and why.

Roussette · 13/06/2016 20:42

Anyone up for this tonight?! Grin
